I am trying to increase my Elemental Chaos phial quality; how much does using R2 and R3 reagents help? I just learned about higher-rank Draconic Vials from JCs. Will using these (along with R2 or R3 Primal Convergent) help my skill raise any faster?
I cant remember off top of my head, but even with max skill tree. You will still need 30+ skill thingy.
I have better luck just using r2s and using my 41% inspiration to proc r3s
Rank 3 vials are worth 20 more skill over the 2 and 1. They are so cheap it’s worth buying a stack of them
Ah, ok! So even though the prices aren’t terribly different on the AH, I can still save a little bit of gold by just buying R2?
Indeed, i suggust taking the inspiration tree to max, im sitting at 41% with phial tree maxed, except the air and frost branchs.
And i regularly walk away with 2/3 of my crafting procs to r3s
Cheaper, and no point paying extra for r3 mats
Is the inspiration tree “Inspiring Ambience”?
I believe so, the 3rd tab, on the far right.
So if R3 vials are worth 20 more skill over the R2 & R1 versions, would a R3 primal convergent offer much more than R2?
Of course, but with my inspiration so high. It pretty much negates not having maxxed everything and r3 mats.
Sure you will get a few r2s, but also just as much r3s.
Sure further as time goes on your skill will get so high you wont need to depend on inspiration.
But i do it this way as so i dont have to depend on any r3 mats. Cheaper, bit of rng. But thats the fun part.
Also forgot, make sure you got inspiration stirring stick with inspiration enchant.
Taken from the below listed post…
The quality of the materials you use can add a skill bonus up to +25% of the base recipe difficulty when all R3 mats are used. Conversely, you get no bonus when all R1 mats are used, and exactly half the maximum bonus, +12.5%, if R2 mats are used.
Eg.
- Base Recipe Difficulty 400
- R1 mats = +0 skill
- R2 mats = +50 skill (12.5% x 400)
- R3 mats = +100 skill (25% x 400)
