Using Queue To Balance Server Population

#Nochanges dont like it leave.

So you’ve got this queue and there are 1000 alliance and 1000 horde online with another 2k in the horde queue.

The 1,000 alliance still get their butts handed to them because they are woeful at world pvp and half of them are in dungeons not out in the world.
Demoralised further these 1k alliance members shrink further and more horde are made to queue.
But you want horde to delete their lvl60s and roll as Alliance right? Because if you want to play you have to play whatever faction my queue tells you to right?

Next idea, this one is absolutely horrid.

Again, this is another example of someone that doesn’t understand how this idea would work and instead injects a misleading statement like “delete their lvl60s and roll as Alliance” just to confuse others. No, players of a grossly over populated faction would have the option to transfer or remain in the queue.

You fail to realize that this idea is a benefit for both factions. It would help to solve the server queue issue for the under populated faction of a server and attempt to preemptively solve the honor grind chaos for the over populated faction.

Like I said before, I’ve seen this problem first hand in vanilla and BC.

This is a great idea.

Horde are just getting mad because they know it would work and they don’t want to take their training wheels off.

No that argument cannot be made. Seriously? #headscratch “Anything that does not favor me is a punishment” #givemeabreak #givemegeneration

Well punishment might not be exactly the right word in this situation. But if people find themselves in a situation where half of their faction can’t play because of a selective queue what do you want to call that? You should expect that a bunch of people suddenly idling in a queue are going to come up with SOME word to describe it.

I feel for the folks in PvP servers that are outnumbered but it’s a situation no one had any control over. People rolled where they did. It wasn’t some conspiracy that now needs to be set right by restricting access.

Not 50/50 but say a hard cap at 60-40 on a PvP realm. You want balance you have to influence peoples decisions, else it will get worse as more and more people go horde to be on the non-ganked side constantly. OR they all transfer en-mass to a newer one to hope for a balanced or favoring their side percentage.

By adding a new queue for the most populated faction that is 10x slower to go down than normal. Yeah man, GREAT solution to the queues LOL.

Can i point out that OP most likely doesn’t even play classic and is just a BFA troll… He is posting from a BFA character after all.

When the honor system is put into classic and a server that’s 70% horde starts to realize that gaining pvp rank is going to be so much harder and longer than the alliance on your server you’ll look back and see why this is a good idea. Adding 20-30 mins of queue time (with the option to transfer) is nothing compared to adding 4-6 weeks of 15 hour per days to your honor grind.

Its better to track post from 1 character… also Undead Priest > Troll Priest

You post this a lot, but I have yet to see you cite anything to support it. And no, saying that imbalanced factions are proof doesn’t cut it.

Actually they intend to do cross ream BGs. Blizzard just wants classic to die

yeah, I’m personally not a fan of cross realm BGs because it really takes away from the idea and joy of being a “top pvper” on your server. At the same time I understand why it has to happen, I don’t think any of us want 6 hour AV queues.

I’m on alliance, my AV queue would be fast. Don’t like the AV queue on horde? Reroll alliance or live with the consiquences of being on an over populated faction

No, patch 1.12 is where cross realm battlegrounds were put into the game. Patch 1.12 is where Blizzard feels the most stable version of old WoW is.

LOL 20min? If the imbalance is as bad as you say then the queue could be indefinite. Forcing horde to not play their level 60s at all on the server with their friends and guild. This isn’t even a queue like the normal one where it can lower in offpeak times. If alliance log off at midnight, guess what you’re not playing at 1-2am either.

Have i mentioned that this is a terrible idea? Because it reallly really is.

Terrible!

You’ve made it painfully clear that you don’t understand the plan. Good luck.

Just because something happened in 1.12 doesn’t mean it’s enshrined by god himself in the patch notes.

Edit: cross realm BGs are a worse addition to the game than flying mounts.

There is no plan. Just your delusions.

So you want to force horde players trying to make it to raid on time on horde heavy servers to sit in a que until enough alliance log in to make it “fair”?

This idea might be good in theory but it will be TERRIBLE in practice.
