Using optional reagents on crafting orders?

So I want to craft the Alch Stone Trinket for my alts but in order to guarantee highest level I need to use illustrious insight is there any way to use this on work orders?

Yes, you have to accept the crafting order job first.

And maybe unlock the associated perk in your profession too.

You can supply your own assuming you’ve unlocked the means to do so. Just work the job and supply any missing items/reagents yourself.
