Using an iPad + Windows RDP to play WoW Remotely

While on travel I can use my iPad (iOS v17.x) with the iOS app “Windows” (plus Tailscale VPN) to Remote Desktop (RDP) to my Windows 11 PC at home. I use a bluetooth keyboard (Logitech K585) and mouse (Logitech M650L) to control my iPad like a pseudo laptop.

While connected to my Windows PC, I can do anything on the PC very much like normal (right-click, copy, paste etc). Except when I launch WoW the keyboard doesn’t control my character. Special keys are recognized, such as if I press “Escape” in-game windows will close or it will bring up the game Menu if there are no in-game windows to close (just like when playing natively in front of my PC at home). If I press “Enter” it will allow me to start typing in the chat window and I can type whatever text normally.

However, WASD doesn’t do anything in-game and I can only move my character with right-clicks and moving the camera (left and right-click together doesn’t work). I assume it’s something with iOS intercepting the keyboard presses because if I press and hold, for example, the ‘a’ key the iOS will pop-up a menu at the bottom of the screen showing all the accent, aka, non-English ‘a’ characters that I could type.

Does anyone know of a setting or whatever I might need to change for the Bluetooth keyboard to be treated more like a normal keyboard in-game for movement etc? I’m sure this would be useful any many other applications/games running on the remote PC.

Thank you very much.
