Using a WoW Token with expired sub

Hi there,

I bought a wow token about a week ago, and my sub has expired (just today) but I don’t see where I can activate it to continue playing. I do not see any options on the main character login screen, nor do I see any options in the Bnet account page.
Also in the past (not sure if this is still a thing) the game would tell you “Hey, I see your characters have a looooot of gold, would you like to exchange some of it for a token?” I do not see that prompt either.
So I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, any help would be appreciated.

This is probably an issue you need to get a hold of Blizz for, not ask the GD forums.

Did you buy the token from the AH or from the shop

I had bought it from the shop to exchange for gold, but I had a change of heart so it’s just sitting in my bags.

I had 5 tokens stored in one of my alt’s inventory, after failing to consume x1 token (I /reloaded after 5 mins) all my tokens disappeared

Pretty sure tokens from the shop can’t be used for time only for gold.

You’d need to get a hold of customer service to try and refund the token or see if they’ll consume it for game time at the understanding of lost money for you…

The above statement is true. You can only put it in Auction house to sell it.

Ever since day 1, there are 2 kinds of tokens. You can’t switch between them. I guess that prevents speculation.

  1. $20 (shop) -->token–>gamegold

  2. gamegold (AH) -->token–>$15 Bnet balance–>sub month, realm transfers, etc.

ask blizzard to extend your time to put up on the ah so you can buy some game time
they’ve done it for me before

i would also ask them for assistance. Sometimes they can be understanding.

A GM should be able to access you character and use It for you I think.

I assume GMs can access unsubbed characters

I think you’re still supposed to see that. I’d contact a GM if it’s not popping up when you try to log in.

This may work, they activated my friends account once for 24 hours and he was able to farm one up
