Who are we? Eternal is a newly formed guild with experienced leadership in running organizations seeking a fresh start. Baseline expectations for members include no racism, sexism, or ignorance. We formed with the goal of becoming a tight-knit community while maintaining a competitive level of play. Our goal is to represent skillful and respected members of the community with an organization they can be proud to be a part of.

Although our current focus is on raiding within the first tier of Shadowlands; this does not mean that we are not focused on other aspects of the game itself. We are also seeking out respective members in the Mythic +, PvP, and even casual community (Not everything in the game has to be super serious; we enjoy taking a breather for high-end content as well!).

Guild Goals: Our goal is to operate a fluid community with all-encompassing aspects of World of Warcraft to be accounted for. Our ideal community would have players of all skill levels to be able to mingle and uplift one another to promote a healthy community.

Eternal Salvation

Expectations: Progression roster requirements include a Mythic +14 done on the week, being prepared prior to the raid (doing homework outside of raid), and having add-ons including (but not limited to) Exorsus Raid Tools, WeakAuras, and Deadly Boss Mods. Able to be versatile and respectful of others in the community despite the status of progression. We also expect our raiders to be on time consistently, and we expect a heads up if they can’t make a raid night. Meter-whoring while sacrificing mechanical play or ignoring priority target damage in order to pad the meter is absolutely not acceptable. We strive to improve every pull, but we appreciate all feedback to remain constructive and respectful.

We expect raiders to bring a vibrant personality and a raid ready attitude. We are a goofy bunch that meshes very well together BUT we expect an equal passion for raiding and killing new content. Raid synergy is incredibly important to us; Especially while preparing to wipe repeatedly on progression kills. We also require our raiders to be vocal on Discord during progression–especially those assigned specific tasks–as communication only aids progression.

Eternal Damnation

Eternal Damnation is our AOTC raid team. This branch of our guild offers a spot for those who are more casual players while maintaining the same expectations as our mythic team. In game our requirements are a 200 ilvl, complete at least a 7+ key each week, and be fully enchanted and gemmed.

You sure that was the bullet? You sure it wasn’t my review of your very ill-ran guild? I can offer you some advice on how to properly conduct a trial process if you’d like. Also I am curious of your use of the term “white-washing”. Perhaps, since you’re only 19, you need some assistance with that as well.

You also mention I am ill-informed. Would love for you to explain that to me. What was I ill-informed on? The fact that you run a guild like a boys locker room and have no concept of how to properly handle trials. Perhaps that you keep raiders simply because they’re your friends?

"As someone who has had experience with this guild I would like to provide the following review of this guild. Enjoy

The Plague (now called Eternal) is a guild ran by a 19 year old who has very little guild management experience. The rest of the leadership is somewhat fragmented, running two teams with Team 2 (the one not ran by the main friend group) being the catch-all for any players Team 1 doesn’t want anymore. Communication with the leadership is often ignored and visibility on raiding goals is often fuzzy at best.

Friends Guild

Now I personally joined this guild because they lacked any hardcore push goals for raiding and I was happy to be in a more casual Heroic raiding environment. Unfortunately, that apparently comes with banging ones head on Sire for three weeks without the correct changes being made from the leadership which was irritating at best. The guild experienced consistent mechanics issues all around with leadership keeping a bad tank and several bad DPS simply because they were friends. Which brings up another point; THIS IS A ‘FRIENDS GUILD’. When the GM finally decides to make decisions the people who are friends will be prioritized over those who aren’t, despite them being low-performing players.

The Trial Process

There is no proper Trial and raider evaluation process and likely will not be one. If you have a bad week you’re simply cut down to Team 2 unless you’re a “friend”. There is no communication about performance by the GM or Leadership. No attempt to remedy any issues. It’s very passive aggressive!

Toxicity

If you decide to respectfully step out due to unhappiness, the GM will publicly speak badly about you during raid in voice. Very unprofessional. Another sign of the lack of true experience in running a guild. Toxic environment. On a couple of occasions raiders were allowed to make insanely toxic comments to people in raid chat without any intervention by the GM or Officers. This was due to the fact that the people being toxic were either “friends” or being perceived as good performing players and because of that toxic behavior was allowed.

Log Analysis

They are clueless as to how to analyze logs. On a couple of occasions they would make claims about something happening during a pull where in fact it didn’t happen. Most of the time they seem to be favoring two metrics over mechanics; “Friend” status and “Numbers”.

Conclusion

Honestly, this might be the perfect spot for someone casual, but I would veer away from this guild EVEN if you’re just looking for an inexperienced and casual environment.

The guild was formed from members within , but there are things we have changed within the Guild that have drastically changed our performance as a Raid Team and as a Community so far.

You are not completely wrong in some of your accusations in the post, even though most of it is an exaggeration of the truth.

Let’s get down to the specifics of your Trial Process.

Our Thoughts after Raid:
Lower end of the dmg meters overall, seems like an average AOTC player. Seemed to have some issues with communication in raid.

Week 2: Thursday, Trial Night 4:
Summary:
Raid leads and officers decided it would be best to sit Combustos (Necroticx) due to not having a stable connection. He gave us the classic “Internet Issues” excuse for his Sire Daddy deaths the week before.

Our Thoughts after Raid:
After letting the player know we would be sitting him for the night, he gquit and we never heard from him again.

WTF?

Why are you belittling a person for their age?
You are a grown man. Act like one.

We didn’t think you were a good fit for our Raid Roster. So what? You are a decent enough player to find a spot on a Roster.

We are working hard to fix some of our issues internally and I 100% believe we are moving in the right direction.

To chime in as someone who trialed at pretty much the exact same time and wasn’t a “friend”, I had a completely different experience. I also parsed pretty low in my trial week and had some untimely deaths. But I cleaned things up and made sure to follow mechanics and made the cut. Yes, we struggled on Sire due to an ever-changing roster of trials who couldn’t handle the mechanics but that’s what you’ll see across the board when working with people new to the fight. For the record, we two-shot it this week.

I don’t find the guild clique-y at all and have been welcome in many discussions around strategy and the direction of the guild. The guild members have been extremely helpful and are open to gearing people up through M+ and PVP, even when you’re inexperienced. It’s super active and people are ready to go out of their way to make sure you can be included. I haven’t had much experience with Eternal Damnation but from what I’ve seen, it’s not a dumping ground for players who didn’t make Progression Roster. They recruit independently and the suggestion is always given that those that don’t make PR can try out for ED. I’m not sure about the toxicity that was mentioned, but from what I’ve seen, guild leaders have been very clear about toxic comments - whether racist, sexist, homophobic or otherwise - being unwelcome.

I’ve been in my fair share of toxic guilds before. I get that not everyone will have the same experience in a guild as well, and that feelings can get hurt when things go south. That being said, as someone new to this guild as well, it’s an incredibly friendly guild that also has a serious progression side to it. I’m not trying to invalidate how others who have left might have felt, but I think the picture painted is a bit disingenuous.

I am fairly new to Eternal myself and wanted to throw in my perspective because I find this guild spectacular. Whatachamp and Landun hit their points spot on, so I won’t beat a dead horse. My points are these:

Is Drewrot 19, yes he is. However he carries himself with more maturity than most people in their 20s. If nobody told me his age, I would not have known he was a youngin. (I am 30 to give perspective)

Cumbostos, from the logs I see, they made a good call. You are not a mythic raider. Thats ok not everyone is, including myself. But that you didn’t even try our other team, try to better yourself and try to trial after some improvement speaks leagues about your maturity, and as you as a player. Rather you took to forum trolling.

I see we’ve resorted to lying now. Well I am going to respond to one of the last things you said here first.

This is absolutely not true. Sitting me would’ve been completely fine. It was being told that after only a single week I was being demoted to your “Team 2” a team by the way that was still progressing on early Normal CN. Who wants to do that? No one. The correct play if you knew how to run a guild, would’ve been to sit people and then let the people involved who were failing that they needed to fix their issues for next week. or risk failing their trial. Being demoted down to a second team who’s current progression was offensive at best is also in and of itself offensive. No one is going to stay in a guild who operates that way.

You should try not to throw stones when you live in a glass house, man. We recorded that little drama between you and that Tracer guy in Discord. Meowmx knows.

Honestly it’s weird how performance was brought up since I never said my performance was good. I never even claimed I was “one of the best” raiders or was even playing well.

To start I was in the process of main swapping to a class I was still learning, having asked our inexperienced GM if main swapping was okay, he gave me the go. As well as the fact that I specifically DM’d him letting him know I was having ISP issues that week (that were resolved that weekend by the way) which caused several disconnects during our raid. I offered to sit until all things were resolved, I was told it’s okay. I have all of these DMs by the way.

Hi Fuzzy, to start, I have a few CE’s and nearly every tier played AS a Mythic Raider. Also I don’t spell my character’s name that way. o.O Also there is no “trolling” going on here. These posts were not made with the intent to goad an angry reaction. These were thoughts on my experience with this guild, plain and simple.

So. Attack my performance all you want, but the rest still stands. Your guild is poorly ran by someone who should probably be focusing on his schoolwork and not running a Heroic guild.

Oh and let’s not mention that you keep someone on your roster who bought their AOTC (for 700k actually) and got carried to KSM (she knows who she is).

Honestly, it just seems like there was a communication issue at the end of the day here. Things like this happen I’m sorry this left you with a negative impression. It seems you have found a guild and I hope you have found a good spot. Most of the recruits I have talked to since these posts have gone up have let me know it just reads as you being a little unhinged. At this point we are just going ignore any future posts by you on any of ours. Wish you luck with the game and your life!
