Useless Zereth Mortis Flight Paths

What’s the point of the Zereth Mortis flight paths if none of them are connected in any way that provides any convenience?

Every thing Blizzard has done in BfA and SL is to slow us down.

Member in Legion when had both the flight master’s whistle and WQ that gave decent rep? Yeah I member.

It’s an illusion of content to make it twice as long to get exalted with a faction as it did in Legion and before.

It certainly feels that way but it doesn’t make any sense why they would need slow anyone down. People who enjoy world quests would be doing the content anyway, regardless on how long it might take someone to get from point A to point B. People who don’t enjoy world quests, they aren’t going to slog through it after the campaign quest anyway.

I don’t understand why:

  • The markers are the same for the two that aren’t “actual flight paths”
  • Regarding two that can only teleport you to the raid area and the world boss area: if there’s only one destination, why do you need to select that destination…it should just start teleporting you immediately.

That’s all just quirks above and beyond how slow it is to travel that new land anyway. I’m personally just waiting for flying before I actually do any exploration there. The whole zone, despite feeling so “open” – is extremely difficult to navigate.

And none of that even touches on the inventory management foolishness that we must deal with while being there.

This is the paradigm lately. That and the fact that the maps are pretty useless for actually navigating around the zones except in a very vague “go that way” sense. Roads are poorly marked, obstacles are not obvious, and landmarks are unclear. To me this smacks more of incompetence than intent. Like it’s being made by developers who don’t really play games, let alone their own game.

Because maybe they want us to actually use our flying mounts earlier for a reason? /shrug

I don’t do test realm stuff so I don’t know.

Does it even matter when we can fly on Tuesday??

By Tuesday I may not ever come back to this place since I’m only interested in finishing the campaign.

At least they dont zigzag all across the map and take a long a time as humanly possible to get there like old time flight paths used to do.

The fastest way between two points is a straight line, so logically, Blizzard will have you take about 15 turns and go across half the zones on the map.

Because private investors no longer go off of sub count, they go off of out time /played in game.

That is why there are so many grinds now.

I really like Zereth Mortis it’s one of the reasons I came back after taking a break for almost all of 9.1.5 since I HATE Korthia and the Maw.

People keep saying this but I really don’t follow the logic of it. We all pay the same subscription fee regardless of how much time we play. Investors shouldn’t care so long as they are getting that monthly subscription.

Wrong. They go by MAU’s (Monthly Active Users) it doesn’t matter if you login only one day per month or all day everyday it counts the same.

Ugh I went back to Korthia to try to farm some Elethium ores and man did I hate it. Everything being the same color sucks.

Yes it does.

Is that assuming you’ve logged on and done all the ZM stuff every day since launch?

Bfa had a flight whistle and wqs gave fine rep though…

Not necessary since no rep is required.
