I made this Druid during the panda remix and only just now starting to play it. I’m normally an open world player and only do lfg and lfr runs with occasional transmog runs. Aside from delves I also plan on doing bg pvp. After saying all that, my question is what profession would be most useful for a Druid? Not looking for a money maker just something to do in between all the other stuff that could help me.
I think it depends how much time you’re wanting to put in, if you want to put your nose to the grindstone and farm stuff, gathering professions are awesome. If you’re a lazy casual like me, chanting is great because you get to DE all of your crap, i also love engineering because of the utility it provides with all of the portal toys.
Yeah, I’m the kinda guy that takes the path of least resistance.
Well, the engineering will always be great for PvP, there are a lot of fun little devices that you can use against other players.
Gathering is so good as a Druid cause instant flight form. It can be a little time consuming though.
For convenience sake, Engineering gives you things like Jeeves (repair and bank), MOLL-E (mailbox), wormhole generators (aka portals) and parachute etc.
Going double mat gathering as a druid is certainly popular; you can just zip around the map mining and herbing, and then either sharing what you have with your guild mates/alts OR hawking it on the AH for a steady income.
Hands down Engineering.
Wormholes to everywhere is too good for open world play.
Also as a Druid, you have access to the Emerald Dreamway which gives you portals to some extra places on top.
Tailoring/enchanting. Cloth is a cheap mat and you can disenchant your cloth blues to get storm dust and shards, which you need for enchanted scrolls.
Cloth drops are easy to come by with points in the right talent tree. The enchanting crests to upgrade gear are easy to make, have no mat quality requirement, and requested often. It’s a good profession combo.
You’re a super casual player. Just get gathering professions to sell mats on the ah. The least work and simple. Others require more work for minimal return
