Will this be possible? Or will i need an EU subscription to play on EU?
It worked fine on Vanilla, no reason to think it won’t be universal for Classic.
They are completely different with separate licenses so no you can’t.
Atleast it doesn’t work with live atm.
You have to buy BFA on an EU account I’m pretty sure and have your own sub for EU aswell.
You don’t have to buy BFA. Just have a sub.
You may just need a US Sub, but no one is 100% sure yet. One odd thing is i can actually post on the EU forums as a trial account, i don’t own the EU copy of the game or sub, but my trial can still post. Food for thought.
If i remember correctly only 3 EU servers could be accessed with a US sub. The majority required a seperate sub.
I’m in EU, posting on a US trial account. So yes, can’t see why it would be different when Classic launches.
Separate subs. You can’t play in US with your EU sub and vice versa.
This is what I’d expect. Because of the way Blizzard changed how the game is “bought”, you would simply start by creating a US or EU Retail Trial account - then add game time. The WOW Classic account associated would be US or EU matching the Retail account you adding time to.
The Blizzard Launcher drop-down actually includes the region in the account name, so people can have WOW#2 US and WOW#3 EU. (Assumption is that it will work like the BlizzCon Demo, which automatically set up WOW#2 US Classic and WOW#3 EU Classic that used the same account names.)
Thanks for all the replies. It would be the best for me but i fear i have to have EU sub for EU classic. Would be amazing to get blue clarification on this nonetheless though.
I have both a US account and a EU account so I can confirm that this is how it works. I couldn’t connect to the US servers with my battle.net account until I created a US WoW account. It’s completely blank, nothing is shared between my US account and my EU account even though they are attached to the same battle.net account.
I recall when TBC released, I purchased 3 US CEs, sold 2 licenses to euro players and it paid for my license.
