Ursoc's Fury or Ironfur?

Hey, just had a question for you all. If we’re doing M+ as a bear, which form of mitigation is stronger?

You have Ursoc’s fury + Raze vs Ironfur

I’ve never really taken Raze before as I like other talents outside of it instead, but I’ve decided to mess around with it a bit on just some trash packs in the Emerald Dream, and it actually works with Ursoc’s Fury. I can get upwards of 200K-440K shields pretty quickly with it if I have a bunch of mobs on me.

And it got me thinking… If I’m shielding that much physical damage, is it better than Ironfur where I’m just mitigating 70-80% of the damage? (The shield prevents 100% as long as there’s a value to the shield, vs taking 20-30% of the hit from Ironfur.

Thoughts?

Obviously this would only really work on M+ trash. Raids and dungeon bosses would be Ironfur hands down since neither Raze or Maul can provide enough of a shield to make it worth spamming over Ironfur.

2-3 stacks of IF always, then spare rage into Raze/Maul

Always always always have Iron Fur up 100% of the time. AT LEAST 1 stack. 2 is preferable. The more IF you have up, the longer your shield lasts.

For simplicity sake we’ll say you have 100k UF shield, and 1 stack of IF reduces physical damage by 25%

Mob A hits for 20k per melee swing

UF + no IF = 5 melee swings
UF + 1 IF = 6 melee swings and partial of a 7th.

Much like Warriors IP. Used in conjunction WITH Shield Block, not instead of shield block.
