I agree thats the ideal but in a random group coordination sometimes doesn’t go well.
Anyhow, its moot. Until it released we won’t know what changes may be made. If it turns out to be difficult to do for those of us either not fast enough or lucky enough to get a lift, I guess we just don’t do it.
Though not ideal you would still be able to work towards regular flight and get that. And usually that can be achieved pretty fast if you work through the story mode on one character.
In Nokhud and Amirdrassil, I’ve never seen anyone have an issue as long as they spoke up and said, “Hey, I need to ride along with someone on their drake, can someone be my designated driver?”
Anecdotal, for sure, but it seems to have gone along okay.
They have their own metrics and feedback on this from the accessibility surveys I’ve been part of to know if it’ll work well enough.
The instance may not be designed for regular flight. You may have to use dynamic flight inside it.
I mean yes its possible that happens I suppose but highly unlikely.
And on the off chance they did make it that way I would see a lot of people complaining and blizzard eventually making it accept regular flight.
Not anecdotal in my case. I did ask a couple of times, got cricket style silence and no offers. I was lucky enough to be close enough to someone to grab on before they left on occasion. Other times I either travelled on the ground or used dynamic, badly. Like for the last boss, missing the landing and ending up in the middle of mobs that proved to be a bit fatal. 
PS: if it turns out we can use standard flight there, that would be a positive even though there is a time delay for it.

Aye, but again a delay as we didn’t get standard flight till late in this expansion. Anyhow, its a while off, will obviously see how it goes when its made available. If I got a beta invite I’d give it a try to see for myself.

How do you coordinate with someone before the dungeon starts in a LFG? The queue drops, you zone in (sometimes it takes a few seconds) and everyone is already moving. Hence my comment
The game design should not be built around excluding players for whom the game used to be accessible.
What disability will they choose to exclude next?
That dungeon doesn’t start in the air.
Gawd, Sendryn, I know that. But players can be in the air very shortly after the instance loads, and any sort of load delay (and dont tell me that doesnt happen) can mean a player is standing there as everyone else launches.
