Urgent Call to Action for World of Warcraft Players: Addressing Dragon Flight PvP Challenges

Seeing the stats posted around it’s not surprising.

"Rival 1: 0.4253 % of accounts
Duelist: 0.0652 %
Elite: 0.0056 %
Gladiator: 0.0006 % (which I honestly don’t know who that is)

For comparison:

SL s2 Rival 1: 6.3962 %
SL s2 Elite: 0.9244 %
SL s2 Gladiator: 0.6047 %

DF s1 Rival 1: 4.3816 %
DF s1 Elite: 0.9042 %
DF s1 Gladiator: 0.1383 %

DF s2 Rival 1: 3.4267 %
DF s2 Elite: 0.3810 %"
But that’s ‘data for azeroth’ and I have no clue how accurate it is or when that data was taken in prior seasons, they don’t go into much detail about that.

Totally agree! I am a healer and dont feel any rewarded by stressing out playing solo shuffle. A new achievement (which i dont care because im not a achievement collector, but a 100% pvper) or a little bit more honor/conquest arent rewards to me.
I want to be able to reach higher rankings (CR) and extra rewards as a healer (like GOLD). Im 1905 as priest and it shouldnt feel as much, but in todays scenario it actually is!

Increase MMR rating/inflation and reward healers with gold.

Blizzard help your playerbase. We know WE asked you to lower the gap between healer and dps CR and it didnt work out, but it was an attempt to solve the issue with you.

Please, this needs to be fix ASAP
We want to play the game (thay we are paying monthly)
I think the resources should be focus on improve healer experience in PVP, not rewards
Great gameplay makes people play, they don’t care about rewards
Cheers

I once saw a DH hit 4 DIFFERENT buttons all in a row once. It was horrifying.

Great post - problem is that Bliz already has shown us they don’t care about pvp. Wouldn’t surprise me at this point if they don’t just simply remove it from the game in 11.0.

As someone who is mainly a PvE player - CE raider, I also pvp a bit in my off time and have gotten over 2400 in shuffle a few times. The current pvp is unplayable. If I get an hour away from pve to push I have sat in Q so long I legit get zero games. Meanwhile I could have completed two keys in that time. It’s depressingly unplayable. Bliz doesn’t care. They won’t change anything. If you’re a PVP player just pray ashes of creation actually comes out because that will be your game.

I can’t say I agree with every suggestion in here, but I can definitely say they’re all infinitely better than the current state and that I would welcome it.

My suggestion :

Never reset MMR / CR, stop this inflation nonsense and make all rewards based off our ladder position.

X number of weeks @ whatever ladder placement will be how all cosmetics and titles are rewarded ( excluding rank 1 ).

MMR and CR are to place people of equal skill level together and should work ( assuming this inflation / season reset nonsense is removed).

However having all the rewards based off of your ladder position means at any point during the season people can push for their goals, so long as they stay active and defend it.

This also encourages improvement / competitiveness. You want to climb / or defend your spot.

Nothing is going to happen as long as we’re all still subbed.

PVP community has to be at least 10,000 people still playing.

That’s 150,000 a month of revenue.

If we all cancel at the same time, it could do damage to the bottomline.

We can all cancel and put in reason : Neglecting PVP

Firstly class balance… Outstanding urgent changes required for :
Sub needs to be nerfed.
Dh still needs to be toned down

Healers need mmr fix and bigger rewards. Like BOA flight stones, titles, mounts etc

Remove the early season conquest cap. Its nonsense. It’s not preventing anything.

I have played on and off for almost 20 years since the very first arena season. In TBC I played with the same 3 guys for hundreds of hours of arena, and had the best gaming experience of my life during TBC and WOTLK. I understand the gatekeeping because I was the healer and my guys were the only guys I would heal in arena. Back then, leaving a team meant actually losing something. In 2023, I have a wife and kids, I cannot dedicate full time hours to a game any more, I thought Solo Shuffle would let me in for some good ol’ arena action. To an extent, it delivered. The extent ends when I log off of my healer main and attempt to que as DPS. I found myself at a point where I was in que so long I forgot what I was doing and end up missing it. Paying 45 dollars over three months to essentially watch twitch streamers play while I am desperately waiting for a que to pop (if I am lucky maybe two ques pop) for the 1.5 hours I have to play the game is a heavy blow to my interest in continuing to attempt to play WoW pvp. As a standalone game, WoW Arena would be the only game I ever played. It is the reason I play WoW. I don’t raid, I do not want to raid, and I don’t leave town except for obtaining sparks or other PVP related task. I came back because solo shuffle and solo RBG que’s sounded shiny and motivated me deeply to get back in touch with my PVP passion. Instead, I pay $45 dollars to spend the lions share of my three months of time waiting to play while que timers ruin my experience. Please make WoW arena a standalone experience without any grinding requirements or other distractions to the PVP experience.

Ive been saying this same thing! If all these people really want to make a change in the game WE PAY FOR then we gotta just stop paying them till we fix it!

If everyone were to unsub the same week and all put the reason being " we pay to play the game and you dont pay any attention to the game mode i enjoy (pvp) there have been thousands of complaints and videos ect ect about this and they havent said anything meaningful in return… its time they learn were over it

  1. Rated PvP is a minor side activity in this mostly PvE game.
  2. The game is steering towards casual play, alienating rated PvP.

Casual play is also paying off for Blizzard. The trading post has been a win, the reduction in systems has been a win, the outdoor content and making normal raid relevant have been a win, raid clears are way up. Rated PvP is a super sweaty niche game mode and a large chunk of PvPers stick to casual BGs to get their PvP fix. IMO, the entire rated PvP community could leave and the game would barely see any impact.

If anything, Battleground Blitz will become the new most popular rated mode. Random BGs are far more casual, and will have better retention for normal players.

Something about this sentence perplexes me greatly.

I enjoy healing, and I try my best. That said I’m an old dude with arthritis so my fingers don’t press the buttons so gracefully. I’d heal more solo shuffle if I felt my time was being rewarded/enjoyable, but as it stands now the negatives greatly outweigh the positives. Most weeks I “Vault and Chill”.
