Yes.
I also want upright human females… their run is so hunched over. It’s like they just learned to run without dragging their knuckles on the ground…

Upright undead with beards and troll beards please. We saved the universe like 11 times, surely we can fix our posture and hit puberty!!
Nah.
She’s posted multiple times saying the forsaken shouldn’t get upright models. She’s being serious.
I’ve been wanting Nathanos-style Human models for Undead for awhile now. Lore-wise, it was impractical for the ‘ritual’ or whatever to be done more than once but now that we’ve been to the shadowlands, the ritual should be much more accessible. The Maldraxxi often transfer souls into new bodies, like we see with Emeni, so it doesn’t seem illogical that this practice can’t be done to Forsaken characters.
Again, somewhat retconned in “Before the Storm.” Parqual is specifically noted to be healed by and blessed by the light, that it’s unpleasant, but they’ve stepped off the “immense pain” part. Once upon a time any kind of Light was implied to be extremely destructive and painful, now it’s “unpleasant” but apparently only grimace worthy.
(I specifically note that Priests are always said to be wielding the Light, rather than directly imbued with it, and so the comparison of a Priest using the Light and an Undead being touched by it are closer in comparison than one might initially expect. If they can be healed by it at all, without suffering, they’ve stepped back.)
Interesting, where can we learn more about this from?
I had it a bit mixed up. It’s Parqual who’s being touched by the Light, and only grimaces. It states that “it heals them” but “isn’t pleasant.” The effect of the Light on Undead has been greatly toned down over the years.
Once upon a time the lore was basically that Undead healed each other using shadow magic, and Undead Holy Priests were more of a game mechanic than a lore mechanic. It was, by all accounts, like fire to the Undead. Nowadays we have them relatively calmly accepting healing and blessings from the Holy Light without fanfare.
~“Before the Storm” - Chapter 33
Upright forsaken would be incredible. Please make it happen (also normie trolls should be upright too, just sayin’).
Heck yes give every hunchback race a straight back option, darkspear and worgen stand with you… just hunched over but still standing with you!!!
Upright darkspear trolls are terrifying. Blizz server’s can’t handle that level of chad
Except the thread is NOT about asking lore breaking class combos but a mere change in posture?
Voidins are pretty much an absurd petition in comparison to asking to keep the model but just slightly less slouched ffs.
Could Troll males please stand tall too?
Please? It’s so weird that Troll females can but males can’t.
This is a customization option I can definitely get behind.
I can’t think of a good reason NOT to give undead players the option to straighten their spines. Heck, it makes just as much sense as the orcs getting the option, if not more so.
The Orcs got a quote for a really good chiropractor, all that the hunched races of Azeroth want is the name of said chiropractor!
It’d be far easier to find acceptable helmets if I didn’t have to take into account the massive gap between the helmet and my armor.
The “opposite faction is that way” argument no longer holds any meaning. High Elf erp weirdos saw to that.
Still waiting and watching for the day we get an upright model option!
no they look stupid standing upright. orcs also look stupid standing straight.
Your opinion is noted as being in an extreme minority.
This would be incredibly cool. Unless they changed it, they stand upright when /saluting anyway. My lock would be so relieved and who knows, I may race change my priest back into an UD.
I’ve said this a couple of times in other threads for UD customization options, I would love for them to bring back the racial casting animations. I really miss the UD male casting animations especially.
You can keep the Alliance fine thank you. As I recall after death and being raised our so called people turned their backs on us when raised
