I started getting some conquest pieces and noticed I need some type of crest that only drops doing mythic + 4-8 or heroic raiding. What is the point in allowing us to upgrade the ilvl (for pve) of our PVP gear if we need to farm this crests from mythic + or heroic raiding ?
Maybe I’m missing something ?
Seems like its giving you the base piece so that you can do the pve portion of the grind if you want. Probs is not a good thing to have extreme cross over where turbo BiS pieces are coming purely out of pvp, just like we dont really have to raid at all
Ahhhh. Somehow I thought the allowed us to use our pvp gear in pve by letting us upgraded.
That’s odd then, stats in pvp gear suck compared to stats in pve gear. Not the same by a lot.
Who would want to grind pve portion and upgrade PVP gear’s ilvl
idk. i remember at one point in shadowlands, i think, WW monks were going after haste verse for pve and were not happy about BiS gear coming from 2100 rated pvp lol.
The point of it IS for it to be used in pve, just looks like blizz is cool with not letting you upgrade it to super high pve ilvls without doing any pve at all. if you for some reason wanted a heavy verse piece though, the gear is there i guess.

For Warmode I’ve upgraded my PvP gear too 606 level. It obviously helps open world content, killing elites and makes life a lot easier with Warmode on.
You can get a few doing T8+ delves. Seems to drop 2 in one of the chest. Haven’t gotten any from the bountiful chest. On that note the 606 PvP gear has been nice in Delves as I fill in PvE slots.
Gives you the ability to start PVE in PVP gear and replace/upgrade pieces as you climb. You can upgrade your gear to 606 ilvl from M0, normal raid, etc. crests (which is high enough to begin heroic raiding, etc.) PVP gear is champion gear, so I believe you can cap it at 619 ilvl, but if you’re 590+ ilvl you should be able to do Tier 8 delves which (you can do them with a buddy to make them easier if you’re a bad solo class) gives 616 Hero gear in vault each week.
You also get base 603 champion (sometimes 610 hero) gear by using a key on the epic chest at the end of bountiful tier 8 delves.
If you dont pve then whats it matter?
Unpopular opinion, but I think that pvp gear SHOULD be better in pve than it currently is. You can bring mythic raid gear into arena and it isn’t bad, but conquest gear is useless in raid after the first week.
Sinful was cool like that.
