Upgrading from 3600 to another CPU for wow?

I managed to get a 3080 FE. I have a 3600 and an x370 motherboard so ill need to upgrade the motherboard anyways. the intel i7 10700f is $265 and the 5600x is $330. Would it be worth it to upgrade my CPU? or should I keep it? I play at 1440p

Upgrade to 5600X and motherboard. 3600 will bottleneck 3080 a lot. If you want Intel, I would advise waiting till March for Rocket Lake.

IMO, not for most other games. WoW? Unless you’re really dissatisfied with your present performance, it’s just not worth it.

Performance tanks in this game sometimes no matter what.

I would keep the 3600, but I don’t upgrade very often. I like to get my money’s worth.

You’d probably get better results by spending your money on a better display. Maybe time to make the jump to 1440p ultra-wide or 4k?

I went from a 3700X to a 5600X and the perf diff was there but the diff is not worth it. Keep the 3600.

A Rocket Lake will also bottleneck a 3080 for WoW if you play in large scale scenes.
