Obligatory reminder that the Anniversary servers that are available in pve and pvp mode (but not hardcore) that started earlier this year will be progressing into TBC probably early next year.
But I also get it, servers for every expac, yada yada. You should be able to level starting in classic and then drop your toon off at whichever bus stop you wish along the way.
Retail is in good shape, they have multiple teams to handle that and classic etc. Also, the old versions are already done, so other than SoD, they don’t have to throw many resources at things. They had added like 100 people to the creative teams prior to the Microsoft merger, and I’m pretty sure they didn’t lose 100 creatives.
There has pretty much been fun stuff with every expac - WoD had good leveling, and you can make a ton of money from your tables. And who knows, maybe they swing a couple of those SoD team members over to finish the raids that were left unfinished from back in the day?
They will probably do a reset of progressive servers every 5 years to make sure there is always a version going through Wrath to keep that group happy. And I don’t blame them for that.
But for your claim of it catching up, do the correct math and tell me when that is gonna happen, okay?
Vanilla: 2004, Classic, 2019 15 years
TBC: 2007, TBC Classic 2021 14 years
WOTLK: 2008, Wrath Classic 2022 14 years
Cata: 2010, Cata Classic 2024 14 years
MoP: 2012 MoP Classic 2025 13 Years
WoD: 2014 WoD Classic ? I would imagine early 2027, so roughly 13 years.
At this rate, they will catch up in about what, 12 expansions? Depending on the rate of expansions, of course. Maybe they stop at Legion. Who knows. They know that people don’t want a classic Shadowlands. But if we did get a classic Shadowlands, it would have the mechanics of the last patch, so we would not have to deal with all the bad stuff from the beginning of the expac again. The ripcord will have been pulled, as Ion said.
The devil is in the details. You get everything upfront BUT the Tmog set for some reason. Huge fail with the addicts (like myself) that bought it purely for the retail WoW stuff tho Joking but not joking , thanks team.
Nope, not until the bundle is removed whenever the next Classic Progression comes out then it becomes individual items on the shop.
But if you only want the toy, the bundle isn’t for you. The toy just restores mana while using it and gives you a sha glow while using it only. Nothing fancy.
For retail, yes. When it was current though, we didn’t have them coming out of our ears.
And tbh I don’t mind an unlimited amount of recolors, but they should be under one mount and be customization option like dragonriding mounts. Not each recolor being a different mount.
I love the mounts, but I’m just going to wait for this to go on sale. I’m not spending $50 on an expansion I already paid full price for its Physical CE.
Neat idea, but I already hate the fact that if I want to swap between Fyrakk and Raszageth I have to go to a vestibule thing. I’d hate to have to deal with that with every mount.
Don’t get me wrong MoP is my all time xpac but why would I pay what I paid or more then I did for the free classic version then I did for the orginal MoP for upgrades that I or most will probably never use.
I don’t think it would be that bad if they based it in type like wind serpents are 1 then thundering wind serpents are another.
Like minimally condensed enough to where it doesn’t hinder you.
Also adding more of customization platforms too. That feels like it should be done regardless though.
Hard disagree. Classic means exactly what it means. It’s weird that people think classic refers to something other than an old expansion that you get to experience again. It doesn’t mean “old systems”. It doesn’t mean “pre-cataclysm”. It doesn’t mean anything except old expansion.
MoP originally came out 13 years ago btw. While we are getting “closer to modern wow”, are we though? The systems in place back then are nothing like the systems we have now. That’s the point of an mmo; gradual slow change to make the game better (in theory).
