Does anyone actually know what the requirement is needed to get the upgrade from runed to gilded? I thought it was 694 in every slot. is there some other requirement? or is the gear level needed to be hire?
You need at least 704 in all pieces for Runed of the Ethereal.

704 in each slot (champion 8/hero 4), the final upgrade level which uses runed crests.

That achievement - why doesn’t it show up in the achievement when you search for it? I saw carved (the first two). but that one does not show up. Any reason why? bug?
It’s a Feat of Strength. Those ones don’t pop up when you search or in a list. I think you might be able to get them to with an addon? I’m not sure.

Because it’s time-limited (you can’t earn it after season 3 ends) it’s in the Feats of Strength category, and they hide achievements you haven’t earned in that category so people aren’t flooded with all the old achievements they can never get.
I agree it could use better discovery though, there could be a gossip option on the crest vendor describing how it works and even telling you which slots you need to upgrade.

When it comes to things like trinkets, two must be upgraded but they can be for any spec.
Weapons - 1 x 2h or 2 x 1h
Two rings.
So as long as every slot could technically be filled by an item, even if that item isn’t necessarily for that spec (but is still wearable) then you’re done.
I’m pretty sure weapons have some spec-specific (or at least class-specific) limitations for credit, however.
I’m not sure how stringent it is but I couldn’t unlock weapon upgrades with a bow as a rogue, for example. Even though we are still allowed to equip them.
This right here is long overdue in some manner.
