If we made rings/lariat, legs etc in 10.0 that are ilvl 408 is there a way to keep them and just upgrade in place? id hate to lose the ring gem that made food last 2 hours and persist through death
Nope you’re sol. The only way to upgrade a 408 to 421 is if you have a concentrated primal infusion and 421 will be as high as it will ever go. To go higher you need a new spark from S2 and will have to buy the food buff thing again.
You can use the new spark to upgrade them. Just replace the old spark with the new one when you recraft.
This is how I’d imagine things could be done yeah…I’ve yet to try this myself though so who knows
Yes, recraft it while switching out the Spark of Ingenuity with a Spark of Shadowflame. I did so with my crafted legs on this Warrior just fine (though there was no embellishment on them beforehand but I imagine it wouldn’t replace them, especially for ones tied to the item itself). I think only sockets would be removed upon upgrading the Spark for the item (any item that has a socket naturally wouldn’t lose it, but ones that had sockets added to them during Season 1 probably would).
Interesting. This may not work though if the crafter is another character? Or could I still use the crafting orders to get it recrafted with my own spark of shadowflame I wonder…
you can make recrafting orders to other characters
Yea you can just swap the old spark with the shadowflame thing
It’s what I did for my current belt
Wasnt sure if an already crafted soulbound item could be recrafted with public orders. Thanks
not with public orders, you have to do guild/personal
just use personal - guild doesn’t even work that great unless you can get someone to handle it right away.
I have been doing this for months - sending recrafts to my alts.
depends on your guild yea, we’re active with crafters
Yup you 100% can upgrade s1 crafted gear.
Just will require a spark of shadowflame.
Bummer. DF too punishing to have alts and my last guild order the guy took all the stuff and left.

and my last guild order the guy took all the stuff and left
they… can’t take all the stuff… they never actually HAVE the stuff
and yea, professions on alts can be a pain with no catchup in place still.
yeah i didnt know and traded him the mats first in town.
ok, so you just put the mats in the order, not trade with anyone.
Just ask in trade for a crafter, ask what they charge, send the recraft to them.
