It’s clear from Tupac’s posting history that they got mad that people tore apart their angry post accusing people of shilling for Blizzard and since then they’ve been conducting a “social experiment” showing off the behaviors that they believed that they were criticizing.
I haven’t got the spoons to engage with that kind of nonsense. Just ignore the guy and move on.
I even think like half the people responding to him are his alts… but I know at least some people are getting triggered by him, since I don’t think you can flag your own posts on alts.
This man is the Magnus Carlsen of trolling. You are all in the presence of someone who is truly great in his chosen field. And that’s a rare thing.
Considering guilds like Limit are 203-210 range (you can view them in the armory and wowprogress or raider.io tracks their item level on kills) and they are the absolute bleeding edge, most would be WAY lower.
The ‘risk v. reward’ addage is used all the time when introducing difficult content, and we like that. However, this is all risk and hardly any reward. Obviously we don’t want to turn Torghast into a loot piñata, but an hour is a lot of effort to squeek out another 35 soul ash.
Well here are the torghast nerfs lmao, completely gutted. Torghast was fun while it lasted, now it’s gonna be even easier. Oh well easy soul ash. Might as well just cut the middle man out and just mail everyone a stimulus of soul ash once per week.
Blizzard has access to the actual game metrics. They know how many people are doing Torghast, exactly how hard or easy a time they’re having of it, how many have stopped doing Torghast all together, and how many are failing at the higher levels. They don’t have to guess how people are doing based on how loudly people complain (or brag, in an attempt to show off what a genuine gamewrecking badass they are) on one forum.
If they’re nerfing the place, then clearly their spreadsheets were saying that not enough people were able to engage with the content in a meaningful way.
I feel like in Normal raiding gear Layers 1-3 should be trivial while Layer 4-6 should be challenging and 7-8 nigh impossible without good skill and knowledge of class. Heroic Raiding gear should make 1-6 trivial and 7-8 challenging. Before you go reply crazy this is How I think it should be and I have no idea how developers intended it to be but that just seems like a fair stance to me
Greatly underestimating the time it takes to clear, yea maybe the first few layers. Try level 7 or 8. (and if you say it takes 20 minutes for either of these floors, i know you haven’t done them)
An exceptional point by point rebuttal that highlights WHY it is important to keep it challenging. It forces players to learn their class. It forces players to know their class strengths and weaknesses.
Some groups require single pulls, others don’t. These are examples why Torghast was fun - it was challenging. It made you ponder your move!
If any changes, they should have removed the limit on deaths. Resetting cooldowns after each floor is a good idea. The spellcasting is something helpful to classes with minimal interrupts. But this whole - shorter Torghast runs, less health, etc. Nonsense. They should have MORE traps, more random spawns at higher layers, etc. Ok, maybe not more random spawns…but yes! More challenging!
I love the “step in the center and three NPCs spawn.” More of that! More More MOAR!
Twisting corridors is literally level 8 repeated for 16 floors. It’s gonna be this new nerfed lvl 8 that is basically a level 6. Absolutely no challenge.
Either way, its not really our fault for getting content the majority of players arent geared for; Ion mentioned in the interview that beta players had a lot more gear than players do now and that they don’t really make it clear what ilvl we need for each layer.
They can’t cater to everyone: hardcore players got Mythic Raiding, M+, Rated PvP, and Twisting Corridors; why is such a bad thing that Torghast is accessible and fun?
