Every single time my game updates it does Initianilizing and counts from 0-496.28MB…this is SLOW…usually takes about 20 minutes…then the actual dowload starts which only takes a few minutes…what gives?
I’m having this same issue. It needs to update a couple times a week. Sometimes a quick restart fixes the issue other times it just needs time. It really is getting old. Having to remember to launch wow an hour before I am able to play so it can initialize and update is frustrating.
Im overwhelmed at all the responses from Blizzard. And here I thought they didn’t care

i have the same BS problem. i star battlenet up EVERY SINGLE TIME and it pulls this nonsense. it downloads a 495 mb w.e the heck & then it takes ususally 10 15 mins and then it almost instantly installs w.e it had to. this happens even when i log out of the game. its probably the most annoying thing ever and of course blizz cares so much i mean holy, look at all the blue posts man… UGH its really sickening what a lack of concern they have for their loyal players of over 15 years…
still no answer from Blizzard…I was at least expecting the standard delte the wtf/wtd folders…a complete reinstall…and update all drivers before it went dark!
Did you also put in a web ticket. I only as as this isn’t the primary contact, and they likely will need some system info to help, msdos info, dxdiag. What kind of drive do you use, hd/SSD.

TY for trying to help but I have tried all those…logged in today and guess what? Same thing as always…updating from 1-488.47 and going S L O W L Y as usual.
I do feel the need to reply to your comment about Blizzard not monitoring these forums…this is the Technical Suport Forum!! One would think they actually read these from time to time
