[UPDATED MARCH 8] 9.0.5 Update Notes

You were responding to someone talking about Nya?

They were using that as an example, no one cares if you’re farming mounts in old content.

No one would buy a lockout of Nya to farm a 1% drop mount.

You sure about that? Because I know a lot of people that would, and would buy it for every single one of their alts until they got the mount.

Sounds like an extreme waste of gold.

Mounts like that can take 100s if not 1000s of lockouts to get.

Hell, one could argue it would be a good thing for blizzard to sell more tokens.

I never said I would… just that I know people that would. /shrug

TBF… they usually have a lot more gold than I do too.

I just don’t see it as a reason to not change it to loot lock like the rest of content.

Maybe even keep it ID til xrealm opens up, ID just hurts trying to pug mythic. One bad group and you could be stuck with a crap lockout (or someone could flat out steal your lockout, we had that happen)

They did the same to dh. This is them pretending to buff bad specs without actually doing it.

not enough for me to stay subbed

They’re too busy killing WW

How exactly are they killing WW? I see only bug fixes that benefit them and making that damn pet controllable, which is more in line with other classes. Hell, BM Hunters are pet-centric and our pets can be controlled by everything and insta-gibbed.

so the post is a link?

damn that looks lazy

Our ST damage is lowering by 5-6% and our AOE is going down at least 20% after multiple tests and calculations by the WW monk discord. These bugs have been with our spec for half a decade now. Fixing bugs is ok, but the way they’re doing it, without even buffing underperforming spells like FoF (that only hits 5 targets, instead of 6 how it’s supposed to according to the tool tip) just makes the class not only feel a lot worse, but also perform a lot worse. You’re obviously not a Windwalker player if you think these fixes benefit our spec at all.

  • Fixed an issue that allowed Storm, Earth and Fire spirits to continue channeling Fists of Fury after the Monk’s Fists of Fury channel ended.

welp, i’m gonna miss more interrupts now
i’m never gonna stop a 3way FoF just to place an interrupt - hope others pick up the slack heh

also if xuen is now CCable easily… wtf reduce the cooldown or something. youre gonna negate my one strong boost thats on a 2 minute cooldown - the build is based around it ffs.

poor monks.

*edit: meanwhile firemages are getting casually buffed
i get the message … you want everybody to reroll mage… relax.

I don’t play a monk at all, hence why I was asking for clarification. The only thing I could garner from the patch notes is a bunch of bug fixes and a single change allowing your pet to be controlled.

What I do know about WW Monks on live is that my WW friends that are skilled are loving it. They destroy everything. The ones that are subpar players constantly complain about the spec. I figured from that it’s probably not an easy spec to master.

Still no Expeditionary Boots in Exile’s Reach
No mention of longstanding bugs in the Companion App (like when two of the same ability are required, but you only have 1, and it counts it as 2 anyway), nor re-adding the ability to quickly switch accounts in the app, instead of having to completely re-log into them, even though they are still under the same Bnet credentials…

Thank you.

Raise your hand if you actually think a fire mage is going venthyr. Raise your other hand and touch your nose.

Fire mage buff is from a covenant that no fire mage has or will use unless for RP.

The fact we have to regrind the grind is silly. Adding on to this, the fact that we can’t just have the weekly cap valor (5000) on hand is ridiculous.

Fire mage buff is their legendary that will overtake their current best in slot resulting in a 3% damage increase.
