The updated travel form is VERY different from the current one. it’s beautiful and high resolution something that many have been requesting for years. However, it’s not a simple update of the iconic cheetah. It’s very different and more tiger-ish than a cheetah. As a druid for 17+ years, I’m extremely sad to lose the current form warts and all. Please give me a gylph to restore it or please consider a simple resolution upgrade.

No. The barbershop provides two travel form options: Stag and the updated cheetah form.

They also “updated” the the movment …i preferrred the old cat movment. The old cheetah still has it, but the new one got the weird new movment.

The movement/animation appears to be based on mobs from Korthia. If there wasn’t an existing cheetah form this one would be amazing. It’s not an update though; it’s an almost completely new creation.

I agree that it feels more “tiger-ish” (was thinking leopard when I tried it on PTR).
The highly polished model has high potential to bring some much needed love to the old two-pixel cheetah. However, i feel like it lost a lot of charm with the running animation.
It feels really…off to use. Almost akin to 6.0 when they changed to the new night elf male models and royally dumpstered the run cycle into a loping buffoon. They quickly changed that in 6.1 to a run cycle more in line with the vanilla one. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYgraAI3n1o for if you missed this debacle)
I would love if feedback was taken in on the new cheetah model to make its head and back more stabilized. It feels like it has too much vertical movement and rocking. Some quick youtube searches on cheetahs running after prey feels far more similar to the original form than this new one. (reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgQ0cyNJZV4)
That’s my two cents anyway, on the off chance it gets seen shouting into this void. Thank you for the new form update.

I’m sorry you don’t feel the same way. I’m asking for the ability to have the choice to keep what I already have. The update shipped in PTR last week and it would have been great to let the community give feedback (see some of the suggestions above).

To be fair, I’ve never asked for updated forms. I like my crusty cheetah and wish I had my old crusty cat form. old bear form can die in a fire though.

It’s a travesty and it feels like a mockery each time you turn into the new version. The illusion of choice between a clown cat or bambi is insulting.

Thats not the point. I welcome new models but why would they take the old form away and not let you change it… Imagine after legion you couldnt get old cat forms and were stuck with the artifact appearances.

I’m not a big fan of the new cheetah, but I’m gonna use it for a while and see if it grows on me
I would rather be a kitten than a buck deer tbh 
The detail on the new form is great though! I like how it has the skinny hind leg area just like real cheetah’s do!
