They shouldn’t even be added to WoD or Legion or whenever it happened. The new ones are atrocious.

If they include a toggle, whatever. But it sucks that once the downgraded models get added I can’t play half the races because they’re so bad. Though not so much the models (even though they’re worse), but the animations. The run animations specifically are…horrible.
It’s weird that they haven’t made them an option to turn on or off
And I don’t want to hear anything about “it’s not feasible”, if private servers can do it (and they have) surely the devs can do it

They had a toggle in WoD.
Certainly it is feasible.
They included the toggle from WoD until it was removed in SL.
Simply put, they wanted to expand character customization options, and continuing to support 2 sets of character models inhibited their ability to do that, so the old ones had to go.
I feel like the toggle didn’t last nearly that long. I’m thinking it was gone in Legion. Also…I don’t think it toggled the animations. But I could be wrong on that.
Still, I accept the new models will probably be added whenever they were originally. But I’m hoping not…and certainly not earlier. The original models and animations I find sooo much better.

Thats how it was up until BfA
