Probably not the place, but you should start off by saying what motherboard you have so a good Samaritan who might help you isn’t completely in the dark
That’s awful, sorry that happened to you. How annoying.
You will be best served by contacting your PC manufacturer or MSI. They can walk you through problems with their software. Blizzard just sent that alert because without a bios update, you have potential to permanently damage your CPU, or damage it further if the issue already started.
I reached out to MSI and told me to do a bunch of trouble shooting like resetting the CMOS which I’m not comfortable with but I did try testing out each ram stick and it seems like one of the ram sticks doesn’t work…I don’t understand why it was working just fine before I did the BIOS update…or maybe it wasn’t I don’t check my ram every day.
Sometimes a BIOS update resets memory timing and voltage settings to default, and that DIMM may be unable to run at the default values. But one stick in what should be matched pairs not working is a bad sign for that memory.
