Reach 2400+ Rating…what % of players actually get this done vs all the other stuff? I mean c’mon BLizzard
Which they could do just as easily by leaving the content in and simply making the Feat of Strength and/or title restricted.
You can still do Warlock greenfire these days. That wasn’t removed. That was a purely cosmetic challenge on the same level as the Mage tower. But it’s STILL there.
BUT you can’t get the Feat of Strength for doing it, or the Title associated with it. But the actual CONTENT and it’s reward, remains there to complete, even if it is now trivial as you can just walk in and 1-shot Kanrethad.
IMO that’s how everything should’ve been done. Legendary cloak, legendary ring, mage tower appearances, all of it. The Feat of Strength is your reward for being there in it’s appropriate time and place, but the content remains for all the people that want to seek it out.
MoP has some of it’s storyline gutted as well as areas that are completely inaccessible (despite blizzard saying they removing said restrictions and DID remove them for like 3 days, before putting them back and changing their mind after the fact). WoD suffers heavily from having large parts of it’s main storyline removed from the game as it was intimately tied into the Ring Questline.
Magetower is on the same level as green fire. A purely cosmetic thing for doing a rough challenge during it’s appropriate time, with associated Feats of Strength if you achieve it. and should’ve never been removed to begin with. Especially due to the limited nature of the Magetower itself. I only managed to get it on 2 classes simply due to the mage tower being up at bad times for me, where I either couldn’t play or didn’t have the internet connection necessary to win the fights.

Will you guys bring back mage tower please. Scale it up so we can earn things like the druid bear form. It is absolutely unfair for things like that to not be available. You guys have a really bad habit of getting rid of good things instead of just making them scale.

Well, I don’t agree completely with that either. Feats of Strength and titles are still content. Just scale the challenge. But, what you’re saving is a lot better than removing the whole thing.

I wanna unlock the Vulpera before shadowlands comes out. I’m 20% through revered and I know the rep requirement is going to be removed when shadowlands comes out (as far as I know), but I just got back into the game about a week ago and I’ve gotten too far now to stop the rep grind. I wonder if there’s gonna be a reward for players that unlock the allied races pre-shadowlands?
Oh man I can’t wait to never get this mount. It will be my biggest sadness in Azeroth.

considering they just entered beta status… they keep the pre patch event for shadowlands a mystery for whatever reason… safe to say it wont be here for at least 2-3 months.

I think they should clarify if the Black serpent of N’Zoth will be removed. Because they didn’t mention in their post the Brawlers guild mount would be removed and it has always been removed before.
Also I don’t understand all these people who freak out that items might be removed. It just makes those items special and more of a collectible. This whole mentality of thinking Blizzard should just make it easy to get everything you want doesn’t make any sense. If everything is handed to you why even bother playing? A lot of these items are from things that would be super easy to do in the next xpac.

While we did just enter beta, historically these “get it before its gone” post have been 1-2 months out from pre-patch. Additionally, raid testing has already started.
So its safe to say we might see the patch late September, early October.
I don’t agree with it, but it’s not being “removed” just relocated to the black market auction house.
As a casual player, this doesn’t encourage me to spend more time in the game, because I assume all my high-level efforts in this expac are going to be worthless eventually. So why should I subscribe more than once every three months?
Additionally, after Shadowlands drops, you won’t be able to get the title Azeroth’s Champion, even though you are the champion in all but name. Why? I’d understand more if it was some random title, but a title like Azeroth’s Champion? Make it more difficult to get, or lock it to BFA content, but don’t lock something like that away forever. Give us a chance to earn things like that on an ongoing basis. It’s not fair otherwise.

Dear lord this is happening way sooner then I expected.
Ughh… prepatch is such a boring time. Everything gets broken, especially with squishes and we’ll be at level 50. Broken scaling in old raids, weak in bfa content, etc. Basically a month and a half of wasted time -_-

Are any of the factions going to go away? Just wondering because I’m grinding for the 100 exalted reputations achievement.
Just dropped behind the almighty RNGesus. It feels crummy - like they’ve created scarcity so they can milk their whales for token sales. I’ve said my piece. Don’t hate WoW, don’t plan to quit, do plan to be grumpy about not being able to get the mount.
