So from my understanding the Dracthyr(why does it have to be so hard to spell?) Visage form can automatically turn off if they go out of combat. Why not do the same for Worgen?
Every race needs racials updated to be at least approaching the quality that dracthyr (it’s not that hard) enjoy. However, this has been true since the introduction of allied races so… I wouldn’t hold my breath.
I doubt there’s any technical reason they couldn’t do it.
Thematically, worgen are still cursed…it’s not just a convenient illusion for them to adopt, but rather something they have to actively control.
Meanwhile Genn can fight in the form of a human just fine if he wants to, so there really isn’t any reason other worgen can’t.
Genn is an NPC. NPC’s always do crap players can’t.
And they also do crap players CAN.
Its not like Genn is some super Worgen. Comparatively, the player character is a super version of their race, better than others, the Commander of their Garrison, Leader of their Class Order, Champion of Azeroth, Maw-Walker, and whatever other title we’re going to get slapped onto us in the future.
There’s no reason player worgen can’t fight in human form if they so choose to, when we see other Worgen doing it.
I’d want this if the worgen transformation was more dynamic. It’s a cool animation, for sure, but I remember using an addon that did just this before they reclassified the worgen form from stance to player model (yes… they actually had worgen down in the same code as druid forms).
While the fantasy of being a werewolf for combat was incredibly cool, it was so visually broken that I’d want them to add a completely different animation for Two Forms if this was added.
Yes yes, and Jaina can levitate warships while conjuring a battery of magic cannons to assault capital cities with, so there really isn’t any reason other mages can’t.
I mean, the council of Six does it with an entire city so… no, there really isn’t a reason we player Mages, given the title of Archmage, empowered by ancient artifacts, azerite, and the power of the Afterlife, couldn’t do the same.
There’s an incredibly simple solution to this: Bind the Two Forms spell to your mount macro. I’m sure people will say “well, I shouldn’t HAVE to do that!” but honestly…you’re probably mounting whenever you get out of combat anyway, so the end result is basically the same.
#showtooltip
/cancelform
/cast two forms
/run if SecureCmdOptionParse"[nomod]"then C_MountJournal.SummonByID(0)end
Exits out of human form in case it’s already on, casts into it again, summons a random favorite mount. Visually it is not jarring. It just looks like you’re immediately summoning your mount in human form.
Genn is far cooler than us, to be fair.
All worgen are very good boys and girls though.
Two forms is not a druid shapeshift so /cancelform does nothing. Imagine how this macro command would work for worgen druids if it was! All this will do is toggle whatever form you’re currently in while mounting.
I’ve solved the problem with a small change to the macro… kinda. The problem is it doesn’t know what form you were in when you logged in. There is no way to know this.
The simple way is to just copy what is obviously the same logic of chosen identity, copy it, and make it trigger two forms. It should take a developer longer to brew a cup of coffee than it should take to implement this.
It worked for me every time. Did not toggle. It was always human form on a mount.
Having said that, I have no idea if it still works. I made a race change. Plus expansions have expanded.
Why would he want to do that? Humans are lame.
have no problems with it… but keep in mind blizzard recycled the worgen vorce with the dracthyr… they you target stuff…
if worgen players wanna kill stuff as a human more power to them… just give dracthyrs a running wild with their wings please…
I assumed it was for another character, so the /cancelform was just to remove whatever shapeshift you were in at the time, and is nothing for the actual two forms ability. /cast two forms always has been just a toggle for this ability.
I find it odd that you were never using this twice in a row out of combat, but if you had it would have popped you back into wolf form. This was, of course, the first thing I tried to mimic the desired effect and I got the described outcome. The only thing I can think of is you were prioritizing your shapeshifts for mobility and this was just your prancy button and not your primary go-to for getting around.
As I said I did eventually solve it, kinda. I used a /castsequence macro with a combat reset, but of course as I said it can’t know what form you were in when you logged in, so unless you get into combat first thing; your first time mounting will put you in wolf form. But after that it works fine.
I’ve been using it again since the dracthyr turned me back on to the effect, but the dracthyr do it so much better and it is VERY satisfying to pop out of super saiyan form automatically like they do.
I just find the visage form hideous… i never will use it ever again… just wished it was connected to the faction races instead… alliance and hoard races… then it be okay… course id prefer if the dracthyr had all armor slots unlocked… and the dragon form had a growth in size by 30% the very least… a Height Slider bar… -10% to +10% heck give it to all races… as currently… the dracthyr look more like wanna be fursuits as asmogold would say…
Wohoo!
