Why is this even a request? Old models look terrible after playing retail.
Go through all this work to make classic wrath and leave the graphics stuck in the era? Even D2 remastered got a face lift.

One of the reasons I can’t play retail is the new models and animations are terrible.
The troll runs like someone trying to tip toe or something. Ridiculous looking.
The UD cast looks off center. Orc looks like Worgen or something.
Some of that crap was just change for change sake. But some people like it or don’t care I guess.

I HALF agree.
The new meshes that could be optional for your screen alone would be great. That way people who prefer older look still have it.
The new animations are a BIG NO. Look at how orcs and humans run in retail vs classic. They are so bouncy and just… dumb looking. Who runs like that?!

When I logged into my original toon I made in the start of Vanilla > Cata I was horrified at how she looked. I was so sad.

When I’ve logged onto my Vanilla main from Nov 2004 I no longer have any attachment to it. It looks, feels, and plays completely differently. I’ve even considered deleting it but then didn’t really see the point so I just haven’t touched it.

A toggle that works would be best imo, while I prefer classic way over retail, retail looks better and the unique character customization options are really cool.
The only positive imo but more polys doesn’t necessarily mean better.
Of course ymmv.
If there was a toggle, the default should be classic models/animations over retail.
But I don’t really want a choice. Let classic be classic.

Which I’m inclined to agree with, just speaking hypothetically that if they were to bring a toggle over, it would have to be seamless and bugfree on both types of model choices and if errors do present themselves then default to classic models only. Though, if my memory serves me right most of the bugs found with the original toggle had to do with newer armors clipping on older models which would be different if classic is the version we are playing.
I just like the idea of players getting to have as many choices in their gameplay, especially ones that won’t impact others except themselves. Similiar to addon choices where you can have none or a lot, which can be argued are more consequential then how you are viewing the world.

They were going to release with the updated models, and the #nochnages crowd screamed so loud they changed their minds.
No way on the new models, the sound effects on some of them is annoyingly horrible. Female human sounds like freakish ninja screeching. No way I’m gonna play with that.
