I’ve tried everything already in the list of the solutions provided by the error BLZBNTAGT00000840 that the launcher spits out at me whenever I try to get the update started and going. It just gets stuck initializing after fetching the download and install manifests, does exactly nothing else and then spits the error out at me.
Reinstalled, ran the launcher as administrator (I only have the one user account on the entire machine, could not be anyone else), even went the extra mile to take ownership on the game files so there would not be (in theory) any permission issues from either my or the launcher’s end. I also tried the update from either version of the battle.net launcher, standard or beta.
What else does the thing want from me!? It has all the permissions in the world to edit my files!
