I can’t watch you do this

Orgrimmar smelled nice until the Blood Elves arrived. Now the whole place reeks of fel magic and haircare products.

Smelled nice? How could that be when it’s full of Orcs and their eau de pig pen aroma? The Tauren’s smell rather pastoral, especially when wet and whatever the Trolls be smokin’, it smells like compost. I’m not even going to mention the Undead, except to say my hairspay comes in handy to create a fog when they’re near. :face_vomiting:

You say this like it’s a bad thing.

You’ve just crossed a terrible threshold, Hawkens.

Boralus looked and felt like a genuine port city. There were a lot of out-of-the-way nooks to explore.

I fondly remember the house full of dogs. I think there’s one full of cats too, but I spent more time with the dogs.

Oh I do miss the bank, the roof was so low to the ground. I also miss the flight tower! We used to see how close we could get to the edge, lay down and pretend to be bats. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Orgrimmar should’ve been an oasis capital to begin with, with the Shamans maintaining them, and Tauren Druids assisting. It could’ve been a lot more vibrant and beautiful in a naturalistic, rugged way.

I’ve always thought the Drag might be a good contender for player housing in that there is a few eternally unfinished building there.

I guess the problem they have is what should the new Org aesthetic be? Mud huts seems a bit old hat especially considering the elven influence has never been stronger in the Horde, but how to create a new aesthetic that isn’t a horrid mish mash? I think have a look at Wakanda

Honestly the capital should be moved to a more hospitable place. Durotar is only a wasteland to any Orc born in its boarders. It breeds bitterness. It can remain a home and proving ground to Orcs but it’s utter unsuitable for a capital of the Horde. It’s always been unsuitable. Something Thrall knew when he set up Orgrimmar.

Story spoilers:

The Orc heritage quest has us plant the first seed to start the regrowth of Durotar. It’s possible we will see something a bit more vibrant in the future.

Disagree.

Org and Stormwind are timeless hubs. Besides the RPers, they’re still our central points between expansions and are still frequented by plenty of players. Including new players to the game, who we should encourage to stay to keep the game alive.

Would be great to have updated hubs.

A depressing port city, though, all gray and dismal like it was up in Lovecraftian Maine or something. (Which I’ll grant you is not far from the truth, with the witches and the sea priests and the tentacle monsters and all.) There were a few indications on the early beta that Kul Tiras was originally going to be Spanish themed, which I think we can all agree would’ve been great from an architecture standpoint.

Spikes are always cool. How else can you kebab your enemies?

As great as it being Spanish themed would be if only because I’m kind of tired of medieval human=bri’ish (at the very least KT have a Cornish accent rather than a Cockney or RP accent) Boralus is great. Especially in the portions that are not the Tradewinds. It is unfortunate that it’s a great RP spot but nobody hangs out there.

I think if they kept it thematically the same, but fixed the layout so that it’s not annoying, then you’d have a great horde City.
