Looks like I hit a sore spot with that “Sounds like you’ve had some experience with the CoC” line. Confirmed trolls on the wow forums pretending to be undercover moderators, lol. Because banning people who disagree with you totally isn’t like super ultra petty or anything like that

Look dude, if you don’t want us to label you as a troll, then stop trolling. Simple as that. I’ll toss you a softball question: why shouldn’t SV be returned as a fourth spec? Now just answer something like “There is no reason why it shouldn’t be returned. Only good things can come of it.”

This was the first ever thread I had even spoke with you. The people I was referring to I’ve spoken to numerous times and there’s not any problem with me alerting someone’s that they were indeed wasting time with trolls.

What does that even point towards? We have no class-wide “exotic munition”. You keep ignoring the specific design of the old RSV and why people liked it so much.
You only say “but ranged DoT-spec…still in game…magic or physical doesn’t matter…etc.”
You really have no idea what the term RPG means, how it caters to individual fantasies, do you? It’s not just about “mechanic A equals mechanic B and therefor C”.
Hello good sir, yes I am very aware of what RPG is, having played multiple ones from great to bad, having being part of the making as well.
Old times, past, do some research.
Now you had your fantasy in mind about old SV, everyone did… but when you come to the basic there was nothing different.
Why people liked it ? Because it was the closest thing to the typical “Archer” fantasy people have. Mobile long range dps with 0 casting.

I quit for the combined suck of BM and MM, with the heavy focus being on them deleting Survival. Same for me too: I would also still be gone if it wasn’t for Classic.

Well this thread escalated quickly lol.
Good read though. I really do miss WotLK SV though, Vanilla and BC SV was really gear dependent with the Agil%. I played SV in mythic Uldir in BFA and although it was OK. It just felt… not right. Should be ranged with trap and survival abilities.

There where a few reasons I quit playing my Hunter in Legion and BFA.
-Other classes are just more fun and have better visuals at the time. It’s not that I hated Hunter or was mad about SV. I love the Hunter classes different fantasy’s but playing them right now is not fun as an Outlaw Rogue, Fury Warrior, DH, and some other classes in my opinion.
-It feels really bad to AOE as MM and I don’t care for BM. I do like Melee Surv it’s not bad but there are better choices for Melee. I have been having fun with M+ in BFA and that stopped me from playing Hunter (well MM Hunter) and a few other classes I where interested in.
-Transmog nearly every Hunter set is ugly and this is a major issue for me. I think Dawnspirit and Thyssalia are the only Hunters in this thread that I feel look good. I’m excited for SL as it seems we are finally getting some cool sets again even though they won’t be something everyone likes.
-Numbers I like to do well, I think that’s the same for most people. Even if we end up playing a class that’s not doing amazing most people tend to swap the the strongest spec.It just feels bad having less than other classes while also doing less damage.
-PvP I feel like Hunters are not the best right now, kiting is hard (unless you are surv) as melee are super mobile right now. Traps feel bad to use and it just feels like less reward for more work. We have long CD’s for our self healing while other classes have it baked into their dps. Plenty of other things I dislike right now for PvP but I’m not too experienced compared to others so I won’t go into it more.
-Long cd’s on some of our defensive ability’s. I don’t get why we have such long CD’s when other classes can heal for more, more often and have it baked in their dps rotation. Than others are more mobile, disengage is nice but cheeta’s CD is too long. I don’t like turtle too, long cd and we can’t attack, I feel like self healing should be added to it or something extra.
I’m sure there are some more issues I have that I can’t think of on top of my head.
I’m a little hopeful in SL that Hunters will be better. We get out execute back, MM get’s binding shot baseline which is great and a few other minor changes. I think they still need work and ope Blizzard continues to look at Hunter.
There is an azerite trait that adds healing to turtle, but afaik it’s not going to be in SL so it may as well not exist.
I feel personally attacked.
