Update Bitter Immunity

I feel like Bitter Immunity is a talent that is not worth spending a talent point on 99% of the time. It removes poisons/curse/disease from yourself on a 3 MINUTE cooldown. In comparison any Evoker can get Cauterizing Flame to remove all poison/curse/disease and BLEED effects from any party member as well as healing them on a 1 minute cd.

If bitter immunity was updated to remove bleeds it would fill a huge gap in protection warrior’s defensive kit and make it actually worth taking in a lot of dungeons. It would also prevent people from feeling forced to play dwarf as a prot warrior if they want to do high level content.

I have been underwhelmed by this talent since Dragonflight and would like to see something change about it. Its fun having more cool talents to play with, so what do you think about making this one more competitive?

bitter immunity is one of those things that sound really good on paper, but in practice we don’t have enough spare talent points to make it worth taking. Just like shattering / wrecking throw (PVE wise)

Would love to have wrecking throw in the last boss of the rookery, but its useless 99% of the dungeon so its not worth taking.

So much of this, the fact that build variation only allows for 1-2 free points at all severely limits utility you would want to take, but are unable to at the cost of throughput.

The warrior class tree is easily the worst designed one in terms of the amount of silly mandatory nodes you need to take, as far as I’m aware no other class requires a mandatory 11/11 talent points to be spend in the 3rd rung of the tree when they get to it and have a few points they can double back and pickup missed utility along their chosen pathways to the mandatory nodes.

Warrior’s talent tree could be somewhat fixed without a rework by changing both Crushing Force and Reinforced plates to 1 point nodes allowing for 3-4 points to be free floaters for rungs 1/2 which would actually enable build variation and picking up what are objectively dead talents that are never taken.

Ideally though, they take the warrior class talent tree out back Old Yella style and rework it in the same vein that hunter’s had where they obliterated most of the dps nodes in favour of utility and freedom of build expression to pickup said utility.

The 3 minute cooldown is ridiculous. A skill with a cooldown that long should be insanely strong. I only ever use it in PvP with it macro’d to cast right after Rallying Cry. I also gotta agree with Greil that it’s a bummer that many talents are mandatory (THE MOVE YOU USE HITS HARDER WOW) and not flavor based.

I’d consider taking it if they swapped its position in the tree with Rallying Cry but it’s not worth the 2-point cost to me right now.

I’d rather just make warriors better vs bleeds.

I’d don’t mind giving up nothing talents for niche talents but there isn’t anything I’d be willing to give up for it. But that’s a common problem with many talent trees.

It would be nice if it had a passive element that improved our resistances to the effects that it clears all the time.
