Upcoming Havoc Buffs

Demon Hunter

  • Havoc
    • Chaos Strike/Annihilation damage increased by 10%.

    • First Blood (Talent) damage bonus to first enemy struck increased to 95% (was 75%).

    • Inner Demon (Talent) damage increased by 30%.

Not great but also not terrible. This will buff ST and the Glaive Tempest build by a small amount.

All these changes are good but it just makes me wonder why the didnt “un-nerf” the crit modifer talent before essence break

Keep em coming were getting somewhere now. Still far off from being in an acceptable spot

this is a 6% st buff in general so far, its a large gain

Honestly wasn’t expecting the First Blood buff, didn’t think it really needed one TBH, nor Inner Demon ftm.

Chaos Strike/Annihilation probably can use another 10%. Still would love to see some talent reworks, hopefully we get some in 10.1.5

Because that buffs the heck out of initiative as well.

i mean, havoc needed st buffs. first blood, direct chaos strike buffs and inner demon are probably the safest option to buff since everything else cleaves. keep in mind havoc has 100% cleave and its hard to balance because of that.

I think these buffs are mostly focused on ST to help boost us in the Boss Damage department. Inner demon is a buff to ST/AoE which I’ll take any day as seeing our overall damage has dropped too, however, I still feel like First Blood should also reduce Fury cost. Its just interesting to see how many times Chaos Strike/Annihilation has been buffed and by that much % in the last 3 weeks. But, I feel like the increase in FB dmg has potentital to make a 2pc/2pc bonus a stronger option than 4pc set.

This is great especially as a pvper, havoc already pumps rn.

So as a returning DH that hasn’t been playing end game for very long, am I correct to assume this is a buff to the glaive tempest build? Momentum, while fun, can be stressful and I would like to give the glaive tempest build a try.

looking at the arena masters looks like most havoc demonhunters are leaving behind the momentum… i find this quite interesting.

Its a buff to both, really. Inner Demon will help the Glaive Tempest build some though, but don’t expect too much. Momentum will likely still be the most optimal spec.

I’m kinda clueless, but how does these buffs help GT build?

Really fun to see you post on a 10 ilvl Rogue on several forums.

I just offered you help and that’s what you go with?, I see your problem. Your build tells me all I need to know.

Havoc pumps and it’s defensives r fine, fodder to the flame procs pretty often as well and it’s an extra %20 dmg when you pick up the soul. Use the correct build your chaos strike and eye beam will pump , ur sustain will be high spam throw glaive it’s really simple. Rain from above hits like a truck right now, it’s getting nerfed in the upcoming patch but i still seeing it doing high dps.

As I’ve told op, chaos strike and eye beam talents r the go. With the tier set along with the buffs this new build will be even better.
Momentum build is outdated.

Use the build or not op, ur choice.

Fyi I notice you aren’t running chaotic imprint pvp talent. That’s %100 necessary It’s, a 24/7 uptime on a %10 dmg buff to ur chaos dmg as spamming throw glaive is apart if your rotation. Don’t worrie about the element that gets shown as it does chaos, fire, frost & nature. Chaos dmg is considered everything, but you do want nature for The hunt if you want the extra boost.

you still play momentum in all content tho? especially with buffs.
edit yall talking about pvp, my bad.

Yeah momentum is a good build but the new build is better, goes with the buffs well and it goes with the tier set. Chaos strike critting for 70-100k+ & eye beam doing 200k+ on a full eyebeam cast. Blade dance has always been a big button with essence break but with the %20 buff to the primary target come Tuesday I see some crazy blade dances.
