Until when Blizzard?

I’d like to know why players have loot specialization option, since I keep getting rings and belts that aren’t even good for my current spec. It’s frustrating when a 470 item doesn’t replace a freakin 445 gear piece. The funny thing, there’s people in my guild who barely log on and get weapons with great corruptions. What a crappy algorythm blizzard have.

The worst thing of all, is that they don’t replace gear. They won’t even let you talk directly with the support as it used to be.

Keep spitting on ur users Blizzard and you’ll see what happens.

Yep. Thats exactly what’s going on here.

Random gear tends to be random.

Gear has always been that way.

Sometimes you get an upgrade.

Sometimes you don’t.

loot spec is so you don’t get a dagger as outlaw. It’s not so you only get crit/vers secondary stats. That’d be op.

edit: Did u rly put in a ticket to try to get a gm to exchange your chest drop for a diff one?

Weapons have the absolute worst RNG in the game and they’re the most critical piece of gear.

Loot spec does not influence secondary stat distributions in any way, never has probably never will. Especially considering stat weights are very fluid for most specs and what’s good today might be meh tomorrow.

Loot spec will make sure you get weapons and trinkets your current spec can use, but it does not optimize gear drops in any way.
It just stops a Rogue from getting a polearm or a Mage from getting a mace.

Of course not, but i did open a ticket, to ask the criteria of this chest drops, it’s not normal to get 6 bad chests in a row while people who play WAY less keeps getting BIS. It’s not an absurd complain, is letting Blizzard know that they need to improve their chance drops or else they will frustrate players.

I’ve been playing with my loot set to SV for a while now. Still getting crit/mastery

This is a reason why I stopped bothering in gearing up past 440 & mythic altogether.

Some folks in my guild whom barely logs in has got significantly way better loot than I along with best corruption, for something I’ve been yearning for over weeks to replace & update gear.

O well, jokes on me. It’s not like it’s being move to shadowlands.

PS: having fun with greater pyroblast spam in pvp lolol

Well, i don’t know if you’re defending the current system or if u’re telling just that’s the way it is. My main point on this complain is that Blizzard should consider stats priority as well or otherwise will frustrate players.

There is no criteria beyond its guaranteed corruption and ilvl. It’s a pretty absurd complaint imo, to expect something other than random results from a random number generator. I get that you want better loot, I get that you play a lot, but luck is luck. I think those who complain less get better luck, like there is a sensor scanning your text for negative language related to loot in response to the drops. Haha!

The worst part is you tend to pick the higher ilvl item so that you can get into groups, regardless of whether or not that item is good for your spec.

So true:( very true indeed…

While I appreciate the frustration, stats are always going to vary based on how much of each you have. If you’re at the point where more mastery won’t help much, you don’t want the game to just automatically give you mastery stuff because that’s your best stat right now.

RNG is RNG. I think gearing has gotten to be too fast now that people expect a give me whenever they do something.

Side note: I believe in Shadowlands the cache will give options of gear to choose from so you won’t be stuck getting 2 months worth of cloaks (which happened to me in 8.2). It sucks but relying on the one thing for upgrades will almost always disappoint.

Now, if we’re discussing how play time/effort doesn’t equate to reward, I agree with that and that’s why I think raiding should reward more than M+. But as far as participants go, the chest shouldn’t differentiate between someone who does one mythic and someone who does 20 in a week. Because your reward is the gear at the end of the dungeon that the other person didn’t get.

All of this is just me word vomiting to say: RNG is RNG. Sometimes you go an entire tier not getting that one thing you need. It happens, it’s happened for years, and I doubt it’ll change. But if I’m remembering the cache changes correctly, that should at least help a little.

we’ll agree and disagree, i respect your point of view.

Sorry you got a crappy chest! Better luck next time.

My druid, who I don’t play as much as my hunter, got infinite stars on their first black empire cache drop and 2 other high tier corruptions I ended up cleansing beacuse I wanted the iLevel more than the corruption. Meanwhile, my hunter has 5 sets of gloves, 1 mid tier corruption, and enough bracers to MAKE pants out of, if only I could.

Why not apply that now? It’s not too hard for them…

This is why I love Taurens,

Humble and straightforward:)

But like I said, stat priority is more fluid for some classes and specs than others.
It is also something generated by players based on a variety of factors.

It would be an impossible task, unless they had someone monitoring every individual character to see when they hit certain thresholds or choose certain talents/traits that favor one build over another.
You are asking for something that would never work, unless you blindly follow stat weights from something like icyveins.

They are already addressing it in Shadowlands as others stated, until then it is what it is.

Because I doubt it’s something as simple as hotfixing it. Programming and coding are never that easy. Adding four bag slots to the base backpack caused a whole host of bugs and that was just the bag. Plus I imagine they don’t want it operating like that while Corruption is a thing since they want to hold onto the RNG.
