Unsupported for graphics related versions

Hello,

I have a Unsupported for graphic related version when trying to put either Ray Tracing on or Ambient Occlusion Type to “FidelityFX CACAO”

I’m currently running:
Nvidia Gefore 3080 Ti
Windows OS: Build: 19045.3324 Version 22H2
Nvidia Driver: Version 536.99

I have also tried a “clean install of graphic driver” and it didn’t help.
also tried to delete the Config.wtf file from Battle.net\World of Warcraft_retail_\WTF (didn’t work either)

Thanks for the help!

Probably because fidelity fx is amd and you’re using nvidia.

FidelityFX is supported by Nvidia cards my brother =)

Are you sure the game isn’t trying to run on an iGPU if you have one built into your CPU? Within WoW, double-check toward the bottom of the graphics settings. Set the “Graphics Card” to your GPU, instead of autodetect.

Post a DXDIAG report if you can please.

Oh and ray tracing will only work when the client is in DirectX12 mode, so make sure you’re not using DX11 or DX11 Legacy. It’s possible that CACAO needs it as well, but I’m not sure.

Thanks for your reply!

here’s the link with all the screenshot from dxdiag and my wow ingame settings.

If anything is missing let me know!

Hmm yeah, that’s kind of odd. Everything should be good to go…

There’s also the possibility that Windows is doing that thing again where it’s overwriting parts of the drivers with what it thinks should be there and it can confuse the drivers. Nvidia drivers cannot be rolled back correctly, so the only other thing I could suggest is doing a DDU reinstall of the drivers. It’s like a “clean install” but with far more cleaning power and it has the option to prevent Windows from automatically installing their cherry-picked driver version.

Here’s the pinned thread on the Nvidia forums. There should be a guide on how to use it, or you can just youtube for guides. It’s pretty straightforward: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/game-ready-drivers/13/1001/wagnard-tools-ddugmptdr-manipulator-new-cpu-core-a/
