For the past 10 years that I have been playing WoW, people have been saying that WoW sucks now and they are leaving. So what games are they playing now? What other non-console games out there are so great? Just curious.
Star Citizen looks promising. It's in its alpha. Console games are also making a strong come back. Some of newer games like Octopath Traveler on the Switch, or even the Zelda game can sate my gaming needs with how large and involved they are.
Looking more for games I can sit down for an hour or two and have fun with. Games that do not have a grind and do not require a lifetime commitment. I am just so tired of repeating the same thing each day to get 200 rep on a 20,000 point rep grind.
What it boils down to is, I like/miss the exploration of the game, seeing the sites, and doing the content. Enjoying the story! When WoW runs out of new sites and content, and turns in to the repeated grind, its okay the first three or four times, you get to revisit the lands and what not maybe see something you missed before, but after that its like beating the same game over and over and over again.

League of Legends/Destiny..hell i'm looking to get a ps1/ps2 so i can re play all my favourite games from my childhood like all the ratchet and clanks, jak n daxters, crash bandicoot (ESPECIALLY Crash Bash and Crash Team Racing, they're my favourites)

FFXIV.. it's kinda a slog to level through the main story (unless you like heavy cutscenes and a great story line.
End game level 70 is great. Too many things to do. They build on content and never make content obsolete.
Crafters are treated like regular classes. Crafting is like.... Billions of light years ahead of any game.
FFXIV only mediocre aspects imo are the pvp.
There are plenty of games that are fun to play. I personally have 3 days left on my sub. I could list some more. There are plenty of really great games that keep me entertained for long periods. All of which I find far more entertaining than WoW in its current state.
Not planning to unsub but my playtime has been dialed back quite a bit lately due to the various issues BfA has.

I'm actively playing EQ, D3, and wow, but the one thing I'm looking forward to is Pantheon. It looks promising I just hope with all the hype its decent.

That game is never going to come out my guy. Not in the state they promise, at least.
From a development standpoint a small, entirely crowd funded studio of their size could maybe churn out a game with 15% of the features they're promising maybe in 20 years or so.
That's assuming people are willing to continue funding that game for another 20 years. And if they stop trying to sell tons and tons of ships and features solely for the sake of crowd funding money which creates a vicious circle of getting more money then dumping it all into making the ships they sold to their backers.
And of course, Star Citizen could get completely obliterated in their pending lawsuit because they broke contract by switching engines.
If by a miracle all these things work out Star Citizen will release ~1/3rd of what they promise after about 15-20 years

Tried ESO, but its duller than a bag of bricks. The console game was too, so I guess no surprise there.

HotS because I can play both Whitemane being a total hero and make Sylvanas cosplay as a High Elf.
I couldn't imagine quitting one life sucking game just to play another life sucking game. No when I'm not playing wow I'm not playing ANYTHING like it.
I'm a singleplayer gamer by default, anyway, so I've got a plethora of other games to go to: Red Dead Redemption, Assassin's Creed, Witcher, Fallout, etc. I only played WoW because I used to like its design and mechanics, but in its current state, I need to get away for a while.
