Unsubbing: Pathfinder

Pathfinder is a reward for players who see the content through. They don't want people to just skip over everything because they can just fly over it. That's Blizz's right to design a game that way. They put hard work into the story and quests (even if you think otherwise) and want people to experience it. Rushing through everything isn't what the game is about. If you want to argue that they should hand over rewards for being lazy, you're missing the point. Everything in the game is earned for doing stuff. Nothing is just handed to you.

Im pretty sure you also started around WoD or later. If you had started earlier, I would think you'd be aware that no one is looking for a handout when they say pathfinder is no bueno and were much happier with how things used to be handled.

But I also have the right to not pay blizz a dime and not experience their hard work at all if they want to try to force me to play the game in a specific way. Neat how that works, huh?

Correction; Forum posters are leaving in droves. That's not many people.
You really think forum posters are the only ones leaving? My wife plays, she loved playing with me. We had very similar interests. She wont care to say anything here when she quits, which I can assure you, wont be long after me.

I know plenty of people that aren't leaving. Funny how that works. We both use the "Well people on my side are doing X, so X must be right!" argument.

When most of the arguments come down to "I want flying now!", I find your argument hard to believe. Also you're pretty wrong on when I started.

Can't, they don't post em.

And if you point to the Weak Auras thing, even they said that was fake.

What argument are you finding hard to believe exactly?

My Bnet Friends list begs to differ. The first 3 weeks of the expansion, all but one on it were logging into WoW on a regular basis. Now only 2 do. None of those who have stopped logging into WoW were forum posters.

Most of the new players and some of the returning players in FFXIV I've met in the last month beg to differ. They have roughly the same story: been playing WoW for years, don't like the new expansion so they quit and they're giving other games a try.

You probably ought to pull your head out of the sand. There are large numbers of players quitting that don't visit the forums. I'm not going to say they're all quitting because of flying but it is one among several reasons.

In the meantime, I'll be off flying in FFXIV. Strange how I complete so much more open world content daily where I can fly than I do in the game where I can't.

Ah! The "Mom won't give me a cookie just before dinner" defense.

Classic.

Blizzard is not my mother.
Ya they need to release pathfinder 2 soon so I can herb faster. besides that I could care less.
Locking flight behind time gated reputation grinds isn't fun.

Locking it behind a two part achievement and not releasing the second part for god knows how long is even worse.

Old content shouldn't have the same ridiculous requirements as when it was current either.

It seems like whenever one of these "iquit" posts surfaces, the unsubber in question is always someone that appears to have done nothing in game in the first place. So you're quitting, thanks for the update.

I've taken a few breaks in all my time playing wow, I've never felt the need to start an attention grab post to let everyone on gendis know I'm doing so.
I'll never have flying in wod, and thats okay Not worth the time to me. Only sucks when I'm bringing an alt through there haha.

You mean the "leaked" number that was debunked?

Playing a particular video game is a hobby. If the hobby no longer interests you, then, y'know, don't do it. These diva quits are pleas for attention from some seriously maladjusted individuals who spend 20 pages "quitting".
The no flying white knights can't help but stick there heads in threads about flying. They complain about people complaining. Guess what.... its never going to stop. People don't like that flying was removed. They especially don't like pathfinder and the time gate. So you will hear complaining so long as that is in place. Get used to it. No flying no peace!

Have you made some protests signs to picket Blizz HQ yet, Wavy Gravy?

When is Hendrix coming on?

Feel free to unsubscribe if you don't enjoy the game. Pathfinder salt is minority opinion and won't be changing anything in-game anytime soon.

I don't know anyone leaving, and I've been in the same guild for 10 years. In fact, over the past couple weeks, we've brought back people who haven't played since MoP. It seems we're only really losing the instant-gratification crybabies, and that's perfectly fine with me. Merge a few servers, and we'll enjoy the game just the same.

Heck, maybe with a lot less people to please, maybe they'll have time to fix the issues that are annoying yet not game-breaking.

There is no reason to believe they won't change their minds again
By all means, please hold your breath waiting....
I know this sounds mean, but why do people insist on making these threads? Are they hoping somebody will reply with "no! please! don't go!"?

If you're quitting, just quit.
There's going to be a lot of hater threads, from the hardcore WoW community that has no actual life and can play for 365 days of the year, but most of the people I play with feel the same way.

Pathfinder is nonsense in BFA.

Pathfinder in old content is utter horse-shat.

I'm not going to unsub because of it, but I will immediately switch to the next AAA MMO that comes out, without looking back.
