Like the title says, I'm done. Have idk, 10 days or something. And its due to Pathfinder. For me its primarily pathfinder remaining a requirement to fly in outdated content. But also I find it to be extremely controlling on blizzs part to lock flying behind such a ridiculous time gate in current content as well as the ridiculous rep gate.
Sorry Blizz, but if people choose to not do content, its most likely because they dont enjoy that content. Forcing them to do it is only going to run them off and gain their resentment. I had plenty of other things I enjoyed doing in this game.. lack of flying in old and new content really killed it for me though. I have no desire to play anymore because of it. My suggestion to you is, let people play the game how they want to play it like it used to be in MoP and prior. If you want people to play your content... I think its fairly obvious you need to make better content to inspire that. I dont pay a monthy fee to have access to the ability to do digital daily chores. I would pay to have fun. This game is no longer fun to me because of Pathfinder.
I realize many like PF due to it saving gold. Thats fine. Blizz could easily offer a license system along side PF for those that want to opt out or at least gain a some QoL improvement to help them get PF.
Im also annoyed at the horrid communication from Blizz. They have highly active forums here. The same feedback is regurgitated over and over.. whether it be about Pathfinder, Azerite Power, Titanforging, ilvl scaling etc.. yet that feedback is ignored. CM's are here and they completely ignore anything that has to do with feedback like this and instead go talk about donuts, puppies, orc puns, use of the word "literally".. and when they do respond to feedback its to further discount feedback and validate their behaviour.
This game, the devs, the ways its handled, in no way deserves my support or effort anymore.

Yeeha pathfinder sucks. I have just 36 more treasures and one more rep for wod. then I get to do part two. yeah me. I found something to do.

Devs should have just kept it how it orignally was . From a trainer at max level, there was no issue until they decided to make it one.

I just wish pathfinder had alternate routes. Maybe clear a whole raid on heroic for example, or kill X bosses on normal. Do Y things in pvp, etc.

read entire post. PF may not be hard to you. Grinding every rep and getting loremaster may be how you play the game. Not me. The way I play the game involves flying, farming, running old raids, etc.. its not fun being stuck grounded for me. Grinding out reps is not fun. Its a chore. I dont even really enjoy questing. Which means I'd be paying to do a whole bunch of stuff that is work... Not fun. Just work. I get paid to do work. I dont pay to do work. The game used to be an escape from work. An enjoyable pass time. Its a game. Pathfinder is indeed WAY TOO HARD. I got part one complete by herbing and mining and quests casually playing the game.
Definately needs to be nerfed.

Would be nice to just buy flying like we used to in the past. I'm not qualified to question Blizzards decisions, I'm too dumb to understand the finer points of developing an MMO.
Part one of the pathfinder requirement was unlocked by me, a filthy casual, so I guess I have the patience of a saint.

As much as I hate pathfinder and don't want to do it...I just want to buy flight....it's not work....it's pretty easy to do...but all of the items for it need to be available on the day an Expac is released, not months down the road.
and these "No fly zones" within an expac (such as Argus and Timeless Isle)? they need to die too...
Too bad the current dev team is brainless, it seems.

You can buy rep tokens if you're QQing about WoD pathfinder, that's how I got flying in Draenor.
Legion and BFA don't even require you to be exalted with every reputation to get their pathfinders, but revered. You nearly get revered with every required faction through doing their zones while leveling and only need a few days to push yourself into the revered criteria.
You're quitting because you don't want to log on and do a handful of WQs in old zones that you can cleave through with little to no challenge? That's not an issue brought on by pathfinding, that's an issue on lack of personal resolve. An MMO is a grind, and pathfinder is one of the few things left in WoW that is something you can target grind for.

I'm find doing a little work to unlock flying. It makes me "us" do content that the dev so painful made for us. However pathfinder is a bit cheap and very annoying.
Learn the difference between hard and annoying.
Pathfinder not hard, it just annoying and time wasting. Which is what blizzard wants. Keeps you sub longer if you doing crap.
