You’re ignoring the fact that most of the first tier of Cata was more complicated than Palace. 4 of the bosses in Palace are essentially tank and spank with small mechanics.

I prefer the classic/TBC/wotlk raids as well. They had some mechanics, Vashj you had to toss the thingy, in BT you had to stand under the armpit of a statue, etc.

Honestly, we see so many of the “I’m unsubbing”.

What does it actually mean? Does it mean you quit? Or, are you just not going to keep a reoccurring subscription on your account?

Oh never mind:

Want to? Why don’t you just quit? You paid for time upfront I imagine, right? You can’t get a refund on that so it’s lost either way. Why wait until December if:

Is it because you have game time left and can still collect things for your return?

I take breaks from WoW all the time, some are 6+ months long. No shame in that, but no need to announce, unless of course they ask you to when you cancel a sub and I imagine it is completely optional.

Sorry that wasn’t what I meant. I’m not really ignoring it, I just don’t have experience with it myself. I have not even done LFR of the current raid.

I am genuinely sorry you no longer find enjoyment in the game the way you once did. Let me be the first to THANK YOU for providing some actual feedback, and not just the “I qui” dribble of the standard complainer. I wish you luck in whatever game you find next and hope you come back one day to a better version of the game.

Your #3 resonates so dang hard with me. It’s the exact same reason I’m debating on finally leaving. Last 5-6 weeks my vault has given me tokens lol. I miss Legion’s loot where if you completed a wide variety you were guaranteed multiple pieces, not just 1. I’ve never had an expansion where getting to max heroic ilvl was so tedious I decided not to do it.

In the past when you farmed your butt off it was for something valuable, something that felt rewarding to obtain. Like camping the Time-Lost Proto-Drake (Like what even is a rare nowadays? Also give me my silver dragon back). I remember shaking like a mad man in 2009 when I got mine. All the non gear related things take little to no effort to get anymore so while still enjoyable they don’t feel rewarding. Gear on the other hand I do NOTHING but grind and am still stuck rolling against 22 other players for if it even drops. Gear is a waste of time now.

And people in M+… Good lord, I don’t get it. Y’all go into +7’s, somehow have rating that would indicate you know what you’re doing but then die to the same mechanic 5x and say, “I don’t get it”.

Look, let’s be honest with ourselves. We don’t play this game because it’s not a dumb game. It is. We play it because it’s a dumb game and we like arguing about it just as much as we like playing it. It being so dumb gives us a lot to talk about. That’s why we’re here.

If someone wants to stop playing a dumb game and gives a cogent outline of reasons about it, I’m not going to think less of them because of it. I’m just going to keep on playing my dumb game because I’m an idiot and I find it fun.

Why do people always seek attention with these kinds of threads?

I highly doubt he’s actually leaving. He just wants attention.

And if he is going to leave, why not just leave?

And before someone sais “he’s giving feedback”, this is a community forum, not a direct line to the developers. Never has been. This is a place for the community to chat amongst ourselves when we otherwise wouldn’t be able to without a third party site.

The devs have said that they don’t come to the forums for their feedback. They don’t read the forums. They get their feedback from streamers, youtubers and their comment sections as well as reddit.

So you’re just giving your feedback to other players, not anyone who can actually do anything about it.

You’re just looking for attention at this point. Trying to rally people around the “This game sucks, but I’ll continue playing it!” mentality.

Maybe you’re just not as good as you think you are? Player skill changes over time. Maybe you’re not as good as you were 15 years ago. =/ I’m certainly not.

Then don’t. Do content where that doesn’t matter. I can guarantee you that if you’re not pushing mythic raiding or M+ 10 keys, you don’t need to min/max all that much. You go for ideal stats, but you don’t need to min/max.

Also, if the game is too hard and you don’t want to put the effort into gearing properly, there’s a lot of easier content you can do.

I’d like to introduce you to a certain Onyxia raid video from back in vanilla. Players were toxic then and still are today. Nothing’s changed.

I thought you weren’t into min/maxing anymore.

I don’t know man. Seems like a lot of non-issues. You do you, but I’m willing to bet we’ll see you again fairly soon.

Hi OP. I think I’ll do an annual sub this January. Been here off and on since opening day.
