All “fresh” in a fresh server is the same as all “fresh” players in a dead realm.
Well, you clearly have no idea about private servers. Generally, the successful ones closely listen to their community feedback and either reset or shut down/reopen servers every year or two. Additionally, unlike Blizzard, they don’t charge a monthly fee. So Rokaroo’s decision to move to the private servers is totally justified, at least in my eyes… why would anyone want to pay for something, if they can get a better version of it for free? And if the fresh is in fact coming later, why are people being laughed at for cancelling their subs at this stage, if Fresh servers are all they want? They come to the forums and let their decisions known, not because they want to be criticised by other players that don’t think alike but rather because they want to be heard and acknowledged by Blizzard so that their opinion can be taken into consideration. You got what you wanted, now let us get what we want so that we can all go our separate ways. People claiming that it is only the minority that wants fresh are probably the ones that also said that it was the minority that wanted Classic in the first place. We get it. You got your tens of thousands of gold and you want to progress with it. Fine. But don’t treat the people that want to start over any different.
Personally, I think that Blizzard decided no fresh at this stage is because they don’t want to split the servers and the community too much. At the end of the day, this is a business and they are in it to make a profit. Offering fresh servers at this stage would most likely impact their sales of paid copies/transfers and level 58 boosts… and they don’t want that. I cancelled my sub after Blizzcon as well but I will definitely come back if the fresh servers are introduced. Getting Classic was not what I and many others expected from the game. We didn’t want boosting and GDKP runs. We wanted to make friends, level and progress together in a meaningful way but all we got was a community of minmaxers that ruined it for us. We have learned from it but now please, let them move on and let us start fresh so that we can all enjoy the game in our own way.
