Unreachable character Error 2556

To describe my problem, the message contains spoilers about the main missions of DragonFlight.

Hi, I was doing a Dragonflight quest where my character is sent to Ysera in the Shadowlands and then to the Emerald Dream in Legion. After using my rogue’s Shadowstrike spell, I got logged out and my character is no longer accessible. On the character pick page, it has no location, and when I try to log in, I get the WoW Classic loading screen and then the game crashes with a “critical error.”
The stuck character service did not resolve the issue.
The other characters have no problem.

It’s like my character is stuck in an area that doesn’t exist and the game crashes as soon as I connect. The critical error also indicates “Bad Zone ID 2556”

I am aware that it also happened to two users in the forum from France and China

I have seen only 2 other posts like this that I cannot include the link in this one but one if from China and the other one from the EU, a French guy

Just happened to me same zone as you Squirtul shadowstepped on my rogue across the water and can’t log in now.

Having the same issue. Blinked in the Emerald Dream and cannot login. Plz blizz move me back to valdrakken i have learnt my lesson i will no longer use my spells :slight_smile:

just encountered this while doing the ysera questline. still cant log and raised a ticket only to be met with a template answer from blizz

same thing has happened to me and i have tried everything! just waiting on a reply from blizz… has anyone else had this resolved???

Using the stuck character on Batte net solved it.

I am also experiencing this issue. Using the unstuck service did not work.

I logged out of wow while in the Emerald Dreamway scenario and now when I try log back in its the super old classic wow loading screen of the Dwarf riding the gryphon then i get a critical error. “Bad Zone ID 2556”

I got the exact same problem. Was doing the quest in the emerald Dream and shadowstrike with my rogue on a mob in water and get instant kick from the game. Now can’t log on my main, with same Bad Zone ID 2556 crash and the Classic Loading screen. Damn.

Same thing for me. I exited the game while in the Emerald Dreamway and not I cannot get back in.
