You can start this another time. I’d wait. I’m now stuck because steps 2/3 bugged on me, and I can’t do anything to progress.

For me I found a NPC inside the Inn in Val…which started it all for me …
lovely…the 1st part of the quest is bugged how typical.

So far it hasn’t screwed up my game yet…I started it from the Inn…that led too the Bank now too The Tuskaar village…
So… I now have an item in my bags taking up space that can not be moved, seen or otherwise changed in anyway. It appears to be in the exact spot the mystery chest was, and existed upon using the mystery chest.
I uncombined my bags, and it was ONLY the bag that had the messed up item in it that was not allowing me to see/use the items within.
On a hunch, I went to my bank, and just CLICKED and DRAGGED the invisible item (stupid I know) into my bank vault, and POOF my freaking inventory started working again.
Has to be a bug from the mystery chest being kept in the bags after use.
Going to copy my explanation over to my bug report (in case people see it and accuse me of spamming or something.)
Sounds like I can certainly wait a day or three to start this to allow for some initial bugs to be squished.
Maybe, but it looks like there is a new clue every 24 hours, so I’m not sure what that means for the rewards if you skip a few days.
Nothing, as this isn’t a limited event. It never goes away.
OK, you need to talk to Preservationist Kathos after you get the quest from her, to get the chest with items. So Bobby Carlisle is what’s bugged. Whatever he gave me is just an item in my bags that is a red ? that doesn’t do anything.
Graphics have been buggy on both my PCs since Secret Finding kicked in. Coincidence? It had been fine on both, now they’re both weird.

same here that entire bag got all messed up everything i had in it got blanked out but when i hover over the slots i see what items are there so i dragged whatever “secrets of azeroths” items to the other bag and then those items got visuals

So Elder Ko’nani doesn’t show up unless you’ve done the Azure Span campaign, making the first secret impossible to complete on an alt who hasn’t done it? Can Blizzard please fix phasing issues like this?

Looking over the rewards, I’m not particularly impressed with any of them, so it’s no big deal to me. I believe the article mentioned that there wasn’t a hard cutoff anyways, if I read it correctly.
That looks like that is correct based on other posts… Although I just finished today’s clues with no issues, so I guess its not bugged for everybody.

Why would you do this on your alt…most folks with alts don’t complete all quest lines for all the zones …knows I don’t…this seems you should be doing it on your main not an alt…
I’m excited to find that this event doesn’t have a time limit.

hehe so glad I paid attention as I quested years ago with my main here…some old history and spots many don’t know about if you didn’t pay attention to the landscape…
Yeah, especially considering it apparently has horrid bugs already. 
Glad I can actually wait a few days to do it without worrying about missing out on something because of time-locks. Maybe they’ll be able to fix the bugs by then.
