I don’t think I’ve seen this many leavers ever- it sounds insane, but people are literally just dying once and leaving. I joined in like 5.2, left in Legion, came back for a bit in Shadowlands, and this behavior made me leave, and it seems to have only gotten worse.
It makes no sense to me- it’s never been easier to gear, TTK is pretty long, and these games are all perfectly winnable. I’m getting backfilled in CTFs where no one has scored yet… and I get nothing but sass when I try to gently remind people they can run to other graveyards, back cap around zergs, etc., but they’re just throwing tantrums and calling people in greens a “premade”.
I was really really hype for Warbands and so many other things coming next expansion, but I can’t justify buying a broken game. I can’t emphasize enough that I love the game state aside from this, but if this is how players are going to be, no thanks.
And yes, I try to report them, but there’s just too many to report.
it’s because when you hand out rewards like leveling xp(low level bgs) and welfare honor /conq for a loss it creates an entitled player who thinks they DESERVE to win.
but not if they have to try.
People who do premades cannot lecture anyone about backbones.
They want to win so bad that they stack their team before the match starts… that’s beta gameplay.
And it’s proven cause it’s real easy to be brave in a 4v1 but then their bravery shrinks to a walnut when I tell them to duel me so in other words… no backbone.
How about make it so if someone joins a BG and selects the option to leave or clicks cancel Que it gives them a 24 hour ban from queing. That would solve the Que syncing issue immediately. And the problem with people not taking them seriously enough to just afk the whole match.
yeah i agree with charming on this. especially as a healer…if i go into a team fight and i see some bonehead way out of range trying to solo down three players by himself and dying in 10 seconds and then the rest of the team not even able to kill a single player during team fight…im out. i do 1 thing. i check leaderboard to make sure its not me. if im not pumping heals then i need to stay and try harder…but if im top heals and no one the other team is dying. why would I stick around? take 15mins and go do something else
And blizz can’t stay away from their systems. Hero talents next xpac!! Hahahaha….thats gonna be virtually impossible for them to balance. Xpac broke before launch. Ion just can’t leave systems alone
Don’t listen to that guy he’s crying because him and his ilk exploit and are upset people leave the matches instead of wasting their time getting camped by them.
I feel like most people who PvP in WoW have been playing minimum since like MoP, and nothing really excites them anymore and every bit of nuisance is just annoying. I remember when I just started I used to love to just be in a battleground, no matter what the score was. Like, I was happy to die over and over again. Nowadays it’s pretty much like you said, a battlepass gear hamsterwheel.
I have about 5 70s to choose from. I love the fair and close games.
I dislike starting BGs facing a premade when no equivalent premades are on our team.
I dislike starting Epic BGs started at 20vs40 because one group of a premade raid didnt get the Q pop.
I will see players that exclusively premade in a 5-man stacked group in full Conq and 2000+ rated players and will not queue without them and simply afk out. There is no point.
More like weak minded “communities” that can’t take a fair fight, so they exploit and make the game so bad people leave after the first fight instead of wasting their time.
Most of the rewards/achievements require you to win to complete the meta achievements.
What this is is older players having a hard time letting go of the past. They want it to be 2007, 2010 or whatever. The good old days. I use to be one of those people. The issue becomes is no change is good, and even ones that should every single scenario that could cause issues or upset something that is good is beaten to death. Even if those scenarios are extremely rare. They can’t help be negative because it seems like they can’t let go of things that happened a decade+ ago.
People leaving isn’t any worse or better than it has been except for maybe in Epic BGs because of the premade issue. People leave those matches as soon as they know it’s a premade and I don’t blame them. I don’t leave myself or very rarely but I understand why you would. But outside of Epics I don’t think leaving is any worse than it has been.
The crazy things is the people running these premades in Epics are doing nothing but hurting their own mode they “love” and hurt chances of Blizzard adding more maps or anything to it.
I mean if they are afk and people report them they get kicked. There are solutions but it boils down to whether Blizz wants to invest in fixing it the best they can.
