I know there will be two graphic options in the game and that a majority want straight up classic for the nostalgia. But personally while I don’t mind the overworld being in classic format, the player models are horrendous.
Not looking for anything other than that, not trying to make this a “foot in the door” thing, just hate old player models. Also this wouldn’t change anything for others, as it would change player models depending on a per person basis. Idk if they even have this ability.
Old armor sets on new models will ruin synchronicity.
I continue to wonder why people expect models from a different game should be put into Classic.
(1) The new models conflict with the old, the old animations do not function with the new rigging and animations. They conflict. The option was a bent spoon, it never worked, it gave you old skin stretched over the new rigging. The old animations and rigging were completely removed. The armor even had to be adjusted just to make them fit the new models thus not fitting the old.
(2) Prioritizing the new models over the old contrary to the goals and tenants of the project is so backwards I wouldn’t know where to begin. The fact we should have to fight to retain the old models is attrocious. What part of muesum piece, “if you woke up from a long coma you wouldn’t notice any changes” or authenticity is hard to understand?
(3) You can play BFA anytime - I’m getting sick of this - the same people who screeched “you think you, but you don’t” and spent years telling us no one wants vanilla servers are continously trying to hijack the project. BFA is waiting for you.
Reguardless of how or what age images they use it needs to be usable on current hardware. At least 4K screens.
I’m sure when classic does well and an expansion comes out for it, they’ll add some updated models and spells etc.

The new models are so much better. I hope we have this option too.
Have you tried old armor pieces with the new models? Hint, it doesn’t work well. They’re completely out of place.
Not to mention that as we see by the current version you can’t have fully functioning old models and new models at the same time. Right now old models use new animations and skeletons which make them look like abominations.
