semi-meaningful is not on youtube. I think it’s funny how LFR bothers so many so-called elite raiders of back in the day. They were most likely the 277 ilvl warlocks doing 2k dps in ICC and thinking no end of themselves because of the gear they were carried too. If you are doing difficult content you don’t need to validate yourself by whining that noobs can do LFR.
Just remove LFR it breeds grandma tier of player.
Even the creator think its , how come people praised other people’s
I don’t know why people think this is about the gear
We’d be complaining about warfront gear then too and I don’t really see that happening
Whose elses would it be?
FFS people, it’s not hard to understand this:
LFR is for the majority of WoW players who, in previous (early) years of WoW never raided because it took too much time or was too hardcore/something they didn’t enjoy. That’s it. That’s all. That’s who it is meant for. It’s not meant to “teach” hardcore mechanics or anything else–it’s meant for people who hate raiding or don’t have time to raid to finish the main story and see the content.
There are still Mythic + everything for the comparably small subset of players who enjoy hardcore gaming.
No one is forcing you to LFR.
No one is forcing you to team up with people who primarily play LFR.
I mean, if you’re so damned hardcore about it, go in with your guild and stop worrying about casual scrubs.
Then what is it about? You think there’s some magical ego-boosting experience granted by setting foot in a raid instance? I don’t get this mind set and I’ve grinded through raid attunement and other pre-req content ‘back in the day’. none of it made you better at the game, it just put arbitrary gates in place.
I hate LFR. I want nothing to do with LFR. I don’t even go for transmog pieces. I simply ignore it. You can too.
Of course it is… You want to remove an option of people getting some gear.
Yet we do see that.
I use it to see the content - back in wotlk and a bit of cata I raided back when I was young and had ample free time. Now that I’m older and have reproduced I have to work a ton and my free time is limited. I dont raid now mostly because i dont think it’s fair for me to tire up a raid slot / group with my sporadic play times. Would that i could as i definitely enjoy raiding and have done so in EQ2, swtor, rift, and wow.
But I do at least enjoy seeing the content so I can be up on my lore and storylines b
No, I want something changed because it invalidates player progression by turning it into one of the easier forms of content in the game
I want a new system designed to get people into normal mode
Other people’s gear doesn’t matter to because I’ll outperform them unless they’re a better player than I am and if they out perform me it’s better on my back
Let’s get this straight right now, in order for me to kill the last boss of this tier currently requires me to get an easily hit Ilvl then queue for lfr and destroy him and this usually takes someone like me the better space of an afternoon
non of which would be somewhat challenging game play
People are quitting in droves around you, perhaps it’s all time you took a moment to listen on other people pointing out problems you can’t see
LFR isn’t there to teach people to raid its there so casuals who don’t have AOTC, dedicated raid times they can attend, or high raider io scores can see the content. The content is easier and the loot is quite abit lower.
Making LFR as difficult as Normal would just result in people getting frustrated and leaving. IT would be a nightmare since LFR doesn’t pick who they group with.
On a difficulty no one cares about. The BC model is dead and gone and good riddance. Most people who raided in BC were not phenomenal players they just had a LOT of free time to spent playing WoW. You aren’t beating the last boss by downing G’huun on LFR. You beat him downing him on mythic. You can’t seem to cope with this. Usually when people have trouble coping it’s because they aren’t good enough for mythic so they think heroic or even normal should be the ceiling. No.
and it has nothing to do with giving people more stuff to do that bothers a small fraction of raiders. Has a lot to do with limiting customisation and terrible story telling followed by a smug attitude towards half the fanbase.
The solution is simple classic for one bfa for another. Good and bad playets have clashed for a generation. Finally we arrive at the fork in the road that lets us split apart from one another.
Fate had us meet as foes but this division will make us brothers.
I’m not even a raider and it bothers me.
If you’re not willing to understand why then that’s on you
I can understand why people would want to keep it with having lives and all but I don’t want a raid mode designed for people who don’t like raiding
I don’t like pet battles but I’d end up doing them if they handed out raid loot
more like obsessive neckbeards and dads/moms with jobs, kids and life responsibilities clashed and have different needs in a game in order to pay that sub
bliz knows who’s buttering their bread.
And the really cool thing is that no one is requiring you to play that mode.
Simple.
This game was never for hardcore people. It was never advertised as such.
this game was made for everyone. Not just one type of player. This was never exclusively YOUR game (meaning people with your type of hatred towards the casual base).
YOUR type has been complaining about the casual player since day one.
I bet you were one of those people that hated on the 10m raider because 10m “wasn’t real raiding”.
You should be glad Bliz has been making content- even watered down raid content- for the casual base. Again, Bliz has stated raiding in this game was going to be dead if they hadn’t decided to go ahead with LFR.
So sick of people with your loathing attitude. Quit blaming LFR and casuals because the 14 year old game is hemorrhaging subs. It’s a 14 year old game.
LFR exists. Get over it.
(At this point, you are making it very hard for me to be polite. I might have to step out of this convo cause I’m actually getting grouchy with hard headed people.)
Yep its mythic raiders playing 12 hours a week then loging. Every server they leave withers and dies. Now we simply have hit the second stage of it where one of the factions is fading.
Yeah but there isn’t a problem and I’m just a crazy old man screaming at casuals about systems that used to work far better because people seem to like the feeling of getting something difficult done rather than killing monsters that are nailed to the floor
I disagree but you are entitled to your speculations.
