I mostly view the forums on mobile, so I might be an edge or fringe case. But hands down, the new forum is much more friendly for my daily reading from my cell phone at work than the old forum was.
Just wanted to share some positivity, something that seems lacking on the forums lately.
There are pros and cons.
Down vote gone is a con. I miss seeing where opinions lay with others.
I’ve had the complete opposite on mobile. The old forums were much easier to navigate than the new ones IMO. I like the desktop version though…
Though this is neither truly positive or negative for me, it’s really just UI and UI is very subjective.
The new forums is a million times better. It’s really easy to view your replies, you can see if someone is replying to the the thread, and just feels alot better. I do miss the pages though, but still really like the current forum.
I like the new ones a lot more. Took a little getting used to at first, but it has so many nice QoL features that put it well above the old version to me. Don’t miss the previous forums at all.
I love the new forums. There are things it can improve on but overall it’s so much better getting notifications when someone says something to you.
It’s definitely a more powerful system. That much is sure. A few UI tweaks (on mobile) here and there and it would be perfect.
I would like them if they would put in an ignore system.
I love the way the new forums looked. There is a scroll function and replies with notifications to keep track of topics.
I mean downvoting was gone for a while - it had nothing to do with the new forums really.
