Unpopular Opinion: I Agree With The Portal Changes

Well, sure, that’s an option, and I’m sure some folks’ time really is that limited that they’ll log out after 2 hours exactly if all they have is 2 hours. Other folks, though, will spend the extra 5, 10, 20 or more minutes to get done what they set out to get done, especially if it’s spread out over 2 minutes here and 3 minutes there.

They may not like it and they may grumble about it and eventually they may get fed up with it and just quit, but in the mean time, that there is what gives you the increased active users you keep asking about with regards to this change. Instead of logging out, they’re still active in the game and that’s the number that Blizzard is reporting to investors to keep them interested in supporting the game.

Blizzard has made it clear that they measure the success of the game not in terms of subs, but in how many people are logging in and how long they’re staying logged in, and Blizzard knows that finding small ways to make things take longer keeps a lot of people logged in longer, which looks really good to the investors.

The alliances is.

The hordes is… well ill keep it classy and just say it fits yall to a T.:joy:

The portal room is a good add. It looks cool and it makes sense. That said, they claim to want to make the world feel bigger but then they ignore most of their game every expansion. How about giving us more reasons to play in azeroth other then simply transmog runs.

The Horde’s portal room is efficient. That’s the nicest thing I can say about it.

I’d say the less-is-more aesthetic was practical, if they hadn’t put it right at the front gate; all it’s missing is a big “Alliance: Camp Here” sign out front.

Absolutely. Removing easy access to large parts of the world make it feel smaller.
