I will never say someone shouldnât have their own opinions about this game, but I have absolutely no problem voicing my opinions and backing them up with examples when I disagree with someone elseâs opinion. Iâm glad some people can find thorough enjoyment in BFA, but there are so many things wrong with BFA that I personally see, that I can never agree with people who enjoy BFAâs opinions.
Iâm fine with people voicing their opinions too, but there is a subset of frequent posters that inhabit these forums that have been basically given a free pass just to antagonize and troll people that post any negative thoughts about the game.
It wouldnât be so bad if we actually had an ignore feature.
Blizzard stopped caring at all whatsoever about the forums last year. They cared little about them even then, but they still cared a little. But them laying off half their CS staff - after proclaiming their dedication to improved communication, no less - which included WoWâs last, most communicative community manager/blue poster, was an immediate sign that Blizzard no longer cared about the forums, regardless of the fact that one of the entire reasons the forums exist is to provide a method of communication between the players and the people who work on WoW.
The near-total silence from any of the current community managers/blue posters since the lay-offs happened is just more proof that Blizzard doesnât actually care about communication or the forums, and every single instance in which they say they want to improve communication is a bald-faced, outright lie until they can actually prove it.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, so here are a few of mine about what I like/dislike about BFA
Like:
-Bee Mount
-Korraks Revenge (leveled 8 alts from 110-120 with this)
-Alliance armor set from Arathi warfront
-Night Elf âNight Warriorâ appearance
Dislike:
-Storyline was terrible
-Expansion was advertised as Horde vs Alliance and instead we got Sylvanas Horde vs Saurfang Horde with Alliance backing up Saurfang
-Kul Turan and Mechagnome Allied race requirements both requiring dungeons to complete while Horde counterparts required none at all (Zandalari/Vulpera). (Kul Turans required 4 or 5)
-Tyrandes so called ârevengeâ for Teldrassil was a short attack on Nathanos that saw him easily get away.
-Gear is such a mess. Azerite was a poor replacement for Artifact weapons and its even worse with corruption
-Warfronts were repetitive and boring after the first few times.
-Island Expeditions promote a serious âGo, Go, Go!â mentality and heaven forbid if you queue it as a healer whos never done it before. The amount of nerd rage was unforgettable that I was wasting a slot.
Warfronts were advertised to be great impressive battles. What they actually ended up being were near unlosable scenarios.
Facts. Bfa was advertised to ve doing away with many grindy systems. What ended up happening is the azerite system used the exact same systems from legion so implementation was easier⊠The same AP bar. Not a similar one. The same one.
BFA was flawed; it had a bunch of ideas for things it wanted to do and unfortunately didnât really develop most of them properly.
Which isnât to say they were bad; I can see upsides to a lot of the things they attempted (island expeditions, the azerite traits and essences, corruption, benthic gearâŠ) that needed just a little more time in the oven to get the most out of them and I hope that Blizzard is able to do just that for future content.
It wasnât well-received compared to Burning Crusade and Lich King.
There will probably be a bounce back, or itâs a reasonable expectation, thatâs all Iâm saying. Itâs not guaranteed, but itâs fairly likely, imho. Even just not having the faction conflict in the foreground will help.
