I was fine two days ago, and have been playing tons since Remix came out. Yesterday I didn’t get a chance to login as the servers were down all day. Then today…
Briefly his morning I logged on and couldn’t do anything. I figured maybe it was something with my add-ons, and went to work without looking into it too much. This evening I try again - I update my add-ons, still laggy as hell. Okay, I disable them all and reload. Still laggy as hell. We are talking 7000+ ms.
Two days ago I was fine. It was perfect, so it’s something to do with the TWW pre-patch. It’s made even picking talents impossible, let alone actually playing the game. What can I do?

In the same boat, not really sure if there’s something we can do besides wait it out unfortunately. Feels bad especially since it seems like those around me aren’t dealing with such severe lag spikes or constant 1000ms+
Same here. I can’t even do lfr without lagging a bit.
Lagging “a bit” sounds like a huge upgrade over what I’m experiencing, haha. I tried to do Siege of Orgimmar and Immersius was still standing there long after I got the notification that the raid had killed him. He didn’t fall over dead and the door didn’t open. The raid kindly summoned me to the next boss but it was much the same after that.

Same problem after this week’s reset. Doesn’t matter if it’s a world boss, lfr, normal raid, or even a 5 man dungeon.
Game is fine UNTIL combat starts. Then it’s PowerPoint for the next 2 to 5 minutes.

Yep.
Facing this as well. Unfortunately, Blizzard is refusing to address the issue. Apparently their resources have been cut thin since the microsoft adquisiton (BS).
I have VERY high world latency when I step into a dungeon, raid, etc. Whether it be alone or with other players, it spikes.
It’s very saddening cause for some players, this renders the game unplayable…
I really hope they can come up with a solution and not just leave us behind, which is what i’m fearing.
Best regards,

I was doing BC dungeons and it seems to be around when AOE spells are used , i do notice it out in the world but dungeons its way worse its my not PC because its beyond the recommended spec i havent checked addons but i only have 4 addons bigwigs and little wigs being the main ones.
It’s not a hardware or addon issue at all.
It’s 100% a network issue that they’ve yet to identify/fix.

I’m having the same horrible lag that makes the game unplayable. I die when I finally reach Radiant Echo Bosses/events cause I normally apparently land in crap. My character stops moving forward, backwards, side to side, but can turn in circles. Even Legacy raids my friends and I run for tmog runs, if there is loading screen, it take 5 minutes or longer…once when I was zonin into Dal from Org, when I finally zoned in, my character was AFK. And several other issues related to lag.
Support tickets are just being answered with the basic “check community sites and disable addons”.
I really just want to get a refund for my TWW purchase and be done with this game.
I don’t know, but ever since the day TWW pre-patch went live, the lag on my machine has caused me to miss boss kills in Time Rifts, Researchers Under Fire, DF World Bosses, Radiant Echoes, and more because it won’t even show I’m there at the event/boss. It seems like even legacy raids I run with friends for tmogs is affected by this immense lag.
This is the same on the Terenas, Proudmoore and Wyrmrest Accord realms.
My computer and WOW was doing great with no noticeable lag up until pre-patch…but since I have become familiar with every kind of disconnect, lag delay, and connection problem imaginable.
What is more frustrating is that not even all the players are affected by it!!
I have done the following to try to rectify this issue:
- Disabled and kept off all addons
- Enabled one addon at a time to see if it is causing the lag
- Run the Battle.net Scan and Repair
- Replaced my WTF folders
- Checked my dedicated gaming hard drive for space (over 500GB)
- Made sure all software, drivers, apps, etc. were up to date
- And I’m sure I’m forgetting something else I’ve tried…
Was hoping the patch today (August 6th) would fix it, but apparently not.
At this point I’m just ready to try and get a refund for my TWW purchase, cancel my sub, and finally be done with this frustrating game.

I am getting upwards of 5k lag spikes on the world-home is fine or maybe marginally worse. I cannot find the support page with tracert info to know how to trace it to the server and see where the hold up is. They seem to have deleted that page.
EDIT: I found the ip and did tracert on it and it drops every time in a Denver connection when connected normally. So I used a VPN to connect to Kansas City instead of Dallas and it seems to be a winner, lag is back down to normal. I hate that I have to use a VPN for this though. It could just be an internet routing issue outside of bnet’s ability to fix. Denver is the lag spot for my routing issues.

Same here. I’ve never had a lag issue until pre-patch release. Been playing since 2004 with no experience as bad as this. I clearly articulate in the support messages that I’ve tried everything, even wiped my PC, swapped modems, going out and buying eero 7. No luck.
Continuing to have this issue, I’ve tried VPNs, I have tried Flushing my DNS, I’ve tried graphic settings, I’ve tried everything. Its not my PC as every other game I have works fine, as does web browsers, and its not my ISP since my Fiancée’s game works perfectly fine. I’ve disabled addons and get no where.
The issue only occurs in dungeons and other instanced content like Delves, I dont run into it anywhere else. and it can be as small as minor input lag to straight up everything freezing around me and trapping me even have I do /reload
Update here: I’ve updated my GPU Drivers and that seemed to work but than I was getting huge latency lag spikes. Tried restarting my router and now I cant even stay logged in for more than 20 seconds, im at a loss
I’ve been lagging too, 300ms world. I reset my modem multiple times and once for 30+ minutes.

Same here. Running high latency over 300ms when I usually sit at 40-60. Tried to run vpn which has fixed in the past but didnt help. My latency was good around 7am cet then went to crap over the course of an hour. Been like this for days now…
They have bad interface[s] somewhere.
That are likely experiencing one or more of these things:
A: overloaded
B: failing but still functional to report as “up”
C: misconfigured
Or something in the new raid is somehow lagging entire servers
Then people think to themselves : "No way Blizzard would have these problems and just let them continue "
“Maybe I should reinstall literally -everything-”
And nothing changes as they have the problem we cannot fix no matter how many times we install the client or windows or reboot our router or log cases with our ISP’s
The amount of bandwidth and time their customers have wasted to try to resolve their issues is -almost- hilarious given its 100% out of our hands to resolve this.
