You’re free to go to moon Guard, ask trade chat if they’re lagging in Stormwind or not. Go to the combat dummies and find out, it’s on Blizzards end not anyone else’s.

Of course I’m free to do that. And I did. Many times. I don’t think this is an issue on Blizzard’s end because I can’t recreate it and other people in the city are saying they aren’t lagging.
Sorry, gonna go ahead and hit the ignore button since I don’t like people that tell lies. Of course you’re the type to hide profile and make it harder too.
Different computers, multiple different ISP. No addons enabled, same issue. Despite that the ‘latency’ tab will sit there and tell me it’s 27 home/world. Yet every ability and dragonriding takes seconds or more to go off. Buying off AH takes ages, looting full mailbox takes ages. There’s less lag outside of prime time, and the lag INSTANTLY stops as soon as you leave stormwind. That’s 100% Blizzard, not my ISP, not my computer, not addons. Various threads about MG only - when every other server even in that data-center works fine. It’s okay that your diet consists of blizzard curated tauren hide. You’re free to side with the people that don’t even understand what lag is and say getting a better computer will fix your lag.

Thanks for announcing that. I can understand it’s hard to swallow that your ISP or computer might be the origin of the problem. But when others are not sharing your experience, it’s time to face facts.

Same issue here.
The game has a problem, and complaining is the right way to try to change that.

Strange, because I often see players complaining about lag in Stormwind in the chat.

Yeah it’s in stormwind, and to a lesser degree Elwynn with the event there. The first day was especially bad, it’s not nearly as bad now. You can get stuff done even though the lag is still bad. The first day people were struggling to get the event quest done in Stormwind because it refused to loot objects and accept the next quest

During what time frame?
It’s quite simple. Travel around to other RP realms they are not lagging.
If you’re not able to recreate the very real lag issues that plague Moon Guard then I would definitely suspect that you aren’t actually trying to figure anything out.
Again, I can go to any other empty RP realm, stand in the middle of Stormwind City and experience absolutely no lag.
Period.

It seems that the lag gets much worse during events.

I was able to recreate it around the time this was originally posted, which was on Monday the 3rd at ~6pm PST. At the time, abilities were on a 1-1.5s delay before starting to be cast or going off. Even right now, there’s about a 200-500ms delay. I’m certain a lot of it is just the sheer amount of people, likely amplified by the event. It’s the kind of lag you see in epic bgs a lot where the combat log is constantly scrolling through data and the server just starts having a hard time parsing through abilities going off.
I would like to add that FPS and MS appear normal, but even so, there is significant lag in Stormwind.
