Unplayable lag last few days

No lag in anything else except wow for the past few days. Ping spikes all over the place. Streaming, youtube, and other games have zero lag issues. I’m running on an ethernet cable directly to the modem.

same, the issue is somewhere on Blizzard’s end

I’ve been trying to find a post from Blizzard Support with any explanation as to the cause, but nothing…

Most likely something with Blizzard’s servers. Impossible to play, lags terribly. I hope that at least the next restart of the servers will solve the problem.

I have been having bad lag as well, it takes about 5 seconds to cast a spell. Like you mentioned everything else is completely fine. Others on my server are having the same problem, I’m on Emarld Dream.

Also, this issue seems to be more prevalent during the later afternoon through evening hours. World ping spikes and never drops below 200ms.

Same issues for me. All other games and tasks no issues. I have constant 200ms-800ms+ in wow since tuesday. I have tried all the steps on wow forums to fix the issue with no luck. It must be something on wow servers end.

It’s been like this I think since the 20gb prepatch download. My client periodically freezes and feels like it’s going to crash for 10 seconds.

why is it only Emerald dream. i play on Area 52 and it litteraly has no lag what so ever. what could the pre patch have done to break emerald dream but no other servers. very weird

Same issue here. But its only in Zandalar. Kul Tiras is just fine for me so it affects me less then it would affect my horde counterparts. Hopefully Blizz find a solution soon.

I generally play over voice chat with my brother. For the past few nights he’s been having a lot of issues with lag while I was completely unaffected. For example, last night he couldn’t even zone into Zuldazar because nothing would load for him, abilities wouldn’t trigger, etc. He would have to force close WoW and restart it. At the same time, I was running around the Great Seal with zero issues and there were tons of other players there as well, nobody affected by lag.

Now today I’m having the same issues he’s been having for days. Constant lag spikes that last for up to 5 minutes (the longest I waited before force closing WoW).

Mine isn’t working and I’m on WrA, is it maybe only the RP server shards?

Terrible lag in Mechagon at the moment. All players in the region affected.

Dalaran has had horrible lag for at least yesterday and today. My spells don’t go off fast enough and when mobs die, lag is bad for looting. Mecha needs a reset or something.

Since yesterday I’ve also been experiencing between 300 and 800 latency, both world and local. Seems to be only WoW that is affected, everything else loads fine. I’ve updated everything I can think of, turned off all addons, and nothing has changed.

I play on Moonguard and have also been having really terrible lag, like world latency over 4000.

i havent been able to get past the laod screen boss the last few days. multiple toons and multiple zones. my internet is fine. toons on Frostwolf/Gorefiend/Eredar

I am on Area 52. My husband and I have both have had unplayable lag since last evening, persisting through today. Latency always sits around 60s-70s, now it spikes from 60s to 800+ when we try to do anything. Everything else works fine internet wise, Youtube, Netflix, etc. ISP says there are no issues.
